Hello. I would like to have a baby soon. What should I be taking (supplement wise) or doing to increase my chances of conception? Thanks.

When you say you ate lots of greens, can I ask how much you had and which greens you had in particular? Did you also have them every day?

Have you heard of coq10???
Supposed to give your eggs a buff and polish!!! Also acupuncture, I swore by these 2.

Hi! Try the Ubiquinol version of Q10. It's the best most absorbable version to rejuvenate older eggs. I've read different things but generally people recommend 100mg- 500mg a day. I go with about 200mg or sometimes 300mg. I also take a vitamin called Natural Health Practice Fertility Support for Women- recommended to me by someone in the fertility industry. Both available on Amazon etc. The vitamin has folate in it which is a better absorbed version of Folic Acid. I conceived at 41 taking good vitamins, conceived again at 42 (with a 7 month old, probably depleted of vitamins, hadn't taken anything but folic acid) and lost the pregnancy at 12 weeks. I do wonder if it would have made a difference but will never know. I was fitter and did daily exercise the first time too. I believe that helped too. Good luck!

Hi there! I have PCOS, age 41 and DP has low sperm and motility and is 33 years old. I have 2 DC from previous relationship and DP has none. On our 16th cycle trying.

We don't smoke, drink sparingly (wine at the weekend) and both go to the gym, eat plenty of greens and are not overweight.

Done a lot of research to improve egg and sperm quality and we take quite a lot of supplements!

Myo inositol (pcos egg and sperm)
270mg CoQ10 (egg and sperm)
2000mg Royal jelly (egg & sperm)
2000mg L arginine (egg and sperm)
1000mg L carnatine (sperm)
400mg Vitamin e (egg and sperm

2000mg vitamin C (sperm)
500mg zinc (sperm)

Studies for male factor found that these amounts of vitamin C and zinc caused sperm count and motility to vastly increase in over 70% of the men tested!

I've been taking these supplements for a
5 cycles and DP is on his 3rd cycle.

Whatever you do to help your eggs takes 6 cycles to work as that's how long it takes for an egg to mature.

For a male, sperm takes 3 cycles (months) to mature. So I'll be sure to come back when he's had his next sperm analysis done, to show any improvements.

I temp my cycles and use fertility friend to log it all. I also opk because I do tend to ovulate between CD13 and CD16 so timing is very important indeed! Hope this helps

Yes, research suggests CoQ10 or unbiquinol supports fertility in both men and women! Ubiquinol is the reduced form of CoQ10 (ubiquinone), and is already converted ready for the body to use. One key thing to note about unbiquinol and CoQ10 is that it is better absorbed in a form that is water and fat-soluble.
Two supplements mentioned that you want to watch out for excessive intake are the vitamin E and zinc mentioned. There may be zinc and vitamin E already in other multivitamin supplements, and understanding how much you are taking is important. Always check over supplements with your doctor to make sure they are effective and safe.
There is a lot of research behind myo-inositol for PCOS support, but also check with your doctor on this one as it can affect blood sugar levels.
