Hello everyone. Still trying to work out my cycle after miscarriage and I want to try temping as well as opks and I am hoping some people can advise me. I have actually done it before but that was 8 years ago and I seem to have forgotten everything!
Do you need to use an oral thermometer or would an in ear one do?
Also do you have to get one that does 2 decimal places or will one do?
I am going to be tracking on fertility friend as I used it before.
Thank you ladies

Hi @Daisypod
I use a OneStep oral BBT thermometer I got off eBay for about £3.
I bought it in celsius rather than farenheit, and it goes to 2 x decimal places. x

Hi, you need one that goes to two decimal places so you can spot patterns in your temperatures. I just ordered one on amazon and think oral is more accurate than in -ear ( or vaginal meant to be most accurate!) then just try and do it first thing in morning as soon as you wake up at roughly around the same time. I'm not mega strict with weekends etc but still always see when I've ovulated. I just miscarried a couple of weeks ago so just getting back into tracking my cycle. Good luck Smile

A couple of my friends have bought an Ovusense which is a vaginal thermometer. Looks a bit like a small egg that you pop in at night and take out in the morning. They're about £200+
