OPK confusion?!?!

Hey guys.
So this is my first cycle since having my implant removed (took me 12 weeks to get my first proper period!)
I used to be on a 28 day cycle, which I know doesn't mean I will be now.
Really want to pinpoint my cycle but still have a chance to conceive so I've been using opks. I did my first on CD11, expecting it to be a negative, but it was darker than I was expecting (but still definitely not a positive).
But it got lighter on CD12 and has completely disappeared today on CD13!
Does this mean I could have ovulated on CD 9? Or does this happen often? Could I have a really short cycle this month or should I keep doing the tests in case I get a positive next week or something?
I just can't work out why it would be much darker and now gone if I haven't ovulated.
Any help?

OPK confusion?!?!

I’d keep testing. Think you just have to cover all bases for a couple of months until you get an idea of when you are likely to ovulate.

I did DTD on CD9. So fingers crossed if I did ovulate early at least I'm on for a little chance of conceiving.
But I doubt it. I'll keep doing my ovulation sticks but if my period comes earlier than expected than I think we can definitely put it down to ovulating earlier.

CD14 and still no positive OPK.
No line at all.
DTD and DH said there was some thick white CM, so atm I'm thinking I ovulated earlier than expected.
It is my first proper period in 12 weeks, I thought I started 1st August but did have spotting 3 days prior to that, now I'm wondering if that was just part of my period but just super light and it's now completely thrown the whole of this months dates away.
3 days earlier would mean I ovulated 3 days earlier and am now already missed out on my fertile window Confused

How annoying!

Maybe start OPKimg earlier next month to make double sure you don’t miss anything.

Keep going this month too though, you never know. I got mine CD19.

MsHopey · 14/08/2018 15:23

I'm going to keep testing. But atm I'm either on CD14 or possibly CD17 if my spotting was part of my cycle.
To have such a negative (I.e. not even a tiny faint line gearing up to get darker) I feel like I might have missed my chance this month.
Unless I'm going to have a 38 day cycle which is very far from my norm.
I just have not knowing what's going on with my body and possibly missing my chance at a BFP Sad

Still testing and still completely negative. Pretty sure it's already happened for me.
Unless I've all of a sudden going to have a 35 day cycle.

I'm using the same OPKS by the looks, I'm also confused as I got a stronger line on CD16 but still not what I would have said was a positive, I thought it would go darker. But since then, the tests have gotten lighter so I'm presuming I ovulated on Friday but can't be sure.

Hopefully next month you will get a better idea, I would test everyday next month after period.

Good luck Smile

Hey, I've brought 100 internet cheapies because then I won't feel too guilty testing more. I did only test once a day because I kept thinking about the price of tests and feeling guilty. So now I've got cheaper ones I might test more and get a better idea.

I only have a 10-11 day luteal phase so often ovulate on CD17 and then have a 28 day cycle

Tbh, so soon off the pill absolutely anything could happen for a few months ovulation-wise

I personally don't think you've ovulated yet, keep testing (cheapies are definitely your friend!) and good luck. Don't panic, even if it turns out to be an anovulatory cycle, your body is still readjusting
