So having a few problems and on holiday at the moment and it's really worrying me, so I'm 32 and ttc since coming off cerazette 3 months ago. Anyway I've been regular 28/29 days every month, bleed for 5 days. And this month I haven't come on yet, 5 days late. Have been doing ovulation tests during the month and always been negative so gave up with them. Anyways been and done a pregnancy test this morning and negative 😫 now I have all sorts running through my head... all bad and my partner has said put it to the back of my mind, but how am I suppose to do that. I've only been on holiday for 4 days and another 10 days to go but how am I suppose to let this lie. I do have a prolapse down below and last time I had a smear done they said it wasn't a problem. Just wondering what causes you to not come on your period 🙁🙁

@kaywebb I know how you feel OP! I came off the cerezette pill about 3 months ago also and my periods are all over the spot. I've heard it can take a while for things to go completely back to normal, but also heard that people can get pregnant straight away! So my advice would be to not panic, destress and just let whatever happen, happen. As hard as it is!

The last time I came off the pill it took me about 4 months to fall pregnant but that did end in a MC unfortunately, but it wasn't anything to do with the pill I was very early on - it does happen though, it'll be your time soon fx for you 💕💕

I do understand it can take a while for things to get back to normal but I was having a normal period until this month! It's hard not to think that I have some serious illness...

Hi OP, I’m in the exact same position. I was due on last Friday, and still haven’t come on. Periods have always been regular. Pregnancy tests coming back negative. I am hoping that it’s just too early to get a positive result but the likelihood is my body is still getting used to the change in hormone level.

Good luck xx

Im in a similar boat! 3 days late and im on cd38! But getting negative pregnancy tests!

I also didnt get a positive ovulation test this month which I do think drags the cycle out a little longer (this is 2nd time of no positive OPK for me and both times ive had a longer cycle) my crazy self is still holding out hope of a BFP but my sane self knows it wont happen x

I know how you feel, I've have 4 cycles since coming off the pill in early January, I'm currently on holiday and I'm on CD 65 no af or symptoms Sad I did have a bit of pink show after me and my hubby dtd about 5 days ago but it went straight after. I did hpt about 2 weeks ago and all were bfn. Keep us posted on how you get on Smile

Late ovulation. Any change in routine (um, holiday)? Can cause a delay in your period. It's very very common. at least one, if not more, threads per day about this.

stellarfox · 10/08/2018 16:10

Don’t worry unusual cycle lengths happen all the time. I came off the pill and had a few normal months then something like 60/70 days for the last 2 cycles! Might just be hormone imbalances or something. If it carries on you having suddenly long cycles you can go to your doctors and they can take some bloods to test. I wouldn’t worry now though as you’re not very late at all!

Seriously any doctor will tell you the same - absolutely nothing to worry about. Enjoy your holiday!
