Hi ladies
Just looking for some positive stories about getting pregnant with PCOS. I had an MMC at 12 weeks last July and have been TTC ever since. I got diagnosed with PCOS and have been taking Metformin for about two weeks now. I've been using ovulation tests and I ovulated on the 27th of July so currently on tww. I'm sure I won't get pregnant right away after nothing for a year but im just looking for some hope and positivity from others who have been where I am!

Sorry for your loss last year. I can't offer any postive stories as I am in a similar position. But I have been feeling more positive that I've recently started taking myo inositol. I think some take it as the brand name inofolic. It's supposed to help fertility in pcos and from the research I've read it has good success! I haven't been taking it long enough to know if it will work for me, but I think it's worth having a search online if haven't come across it and see what you think! Good luck on your journey

Thank you ☺️ I've tried inositol in water if that's what you mean? I didn't find it made much difference but maybe I should try it alongside the Metformin? I'm hoping the fact I've been pregnant in the past will mean that now I've stated Metformin I SHOULD be able to get pregnant again, and my hormone levels weren't actually too far out so fingers crossed. How long have you been TTC? Xx

Oh have you, it is similar but myo inositol is a different compound. From what I've read myo inositol is preferred for helping fertility and the effects of pcos. They describe it as nature's metformin! I think it should be taken for at least 3-6 months too, I'm just going to keep taking it I think, considering even without pcos it can take ages to get pregnant anyway!
Yes definitely a good sign! I've never been pregnant before. I only came off the pill in December, so it hasn't been long only 8 months, but I knew things weren't right with my body as my cycles were very irregular, AF practically non existent, I had strange moods, acne and hair growth in places it shouldn't grow!! Never had any of that before I went on the pill so it surprised me! The pill was masking pcos. I'm pleased I had a decent Dr that didnt just blame it on coming off the pill and actually looked into it! When did you start TTC Xx

Ooh I'll have to look into it! Do you think it'll mess with the Metformin though? We started TRC in April 2017, came off the implant and got pregnant right away, and had an MMC at 12 weeks. I had the medical management which is the tablets which only partially worked so I had to have an emergency d&c after. Periods went back to normal until December, then between December and July I only had two periods. My old GP only tested me for pcos because I refused to let it go and kept going back in and pestering her, usually they won't do anything until a year of TTC after miscarriage. Got diagnosed and was told they couldn't give me Metformin only the hospital which had a 6 months wait which really upset me. Luckily, we've just moved house and I have a new gp, who was more than happy to give me Metformin so I've been taking that for a few weeks now, so we'll see!! I'm due my af this weekend so fingers crossed ☺️ TTC is hard for some of us but if you do think you have pcos my advice is keep bothering your GP until they test you!! Xx
