I am on my last day of taking northistertone today when should i expect to see a period? Also I have clomid to start on day 2 to 5 or 6..how many days after I've finished clomid should I expect to ovulate and when should i start BD'ing after I've finished clomid and how often.

How many people have got there bfp after there first cycle of clomid? Or should I expect it to take a couple of months? If it doesn't happen the first month when do you expect to have your next period?

Sorry for all the questions but any help would be gratefully recieved. So can't wait to start the clomid as we have been TTC for about 2 years now.

Thankyou in advanced xxx

The answer to all of your questions is that no one knows. It can be different for everyone. Are you being tracked this cycle at all?

Mummylaura1988 · 03/08/2018 12:05

I have to go for follicle tracking on 1st or 2nd day of using Clomid.. don't know what they will suggest at that meeting?

Have u been through follicle tracking and what happens? Xx

Yeah- during my tracked cycle I went in cd 10, where they saw one dominant follicle and gave the go ahead to Dtd. Then I went back at cd 12, 14. At cd 16 they couldn't see the follicle anymore and said I'd likely ovulated. Had a blood test which confirmed it 7 days later.

On my subsequent clomid cycles I wasn't tracked and ovulated between cd 16-20.

Clomid was unsuccessful for me, but ivf was (9 weeks atm).

With clomid I suggest taking it at night. My only side effect was hot flushes but that subsided once I'd finished the final tablet for each cycle.

Good luck.

Oh I see, so is it likely I will go down the same road. The consultant I see is over 8 miles away from my house so that will be a pain if I have to go over a couple of days in a row. I have a 6 yr old from a previous relationship and it's the school holidays so that will be tricky but it's one of those I guess I just gotta do it if i want the end result lol

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm really hoping that clomid works for us as I have to pay for ivf because I have a daughter from a previous relationship.

Don't they say that it's better to take clomid in the morning but I have heard about the side effects etc

Xx

I've always heard take it at night so that you get the worst of the side effects when you sleep.

Sorry can't sympathise with the eight miles... my clinic is an hour and a half away and I had to go most days during our ivf cycle (I slightly over-responded).

Mummylaura1988 · 03/08/2018 17:07

Ah okay lol sorry about that. 8 miles is nothing in comparison I guess. Just a pain in the school holidays but you gotta do these things to achieve your goals.

Xx
