So what are my chances of being pregnant, to me they seem pretty low and next to zero?? I know it’s a silly question but I’m new in this TTC business :)

It took me about 4 or 5 weeks to ovulate again after having the merina coil removed. Which coil did you have?

I have the copper ones, so according to nurse , my fertility is back to normal ;)

Having a quick google, it says young couples take on average 4 to 6 months to conceive after the copper coil is removed and within a year 85 to 90% of couples will conceive. I conceived 6 months after the coil being removed if that helps (although we weren't TTC, it just happened!)

Thanks Pit I think I wonder more about the date within the cycle than the actual coil! We’re “technically” not trying but just see how it goes :)

Depends on when you ovulate. You're better off having sex before ovulation because sperm can last for several days to wait around for the egg to be released. Also, these things can take a long time, try not to think about it too much! (Difficult, I know!)

Yep, there's 5 days you can get knocked up. Day 1 (three days before ovulation), Day 2 (2 days before ovulation), Day 3 (day before ovulation), Day 4 (day of ovulation) and day 5 (day after ovulation).

Sperm can survive 3 days and egg survives 1 day.

I would be surprised if you ovulated so soon after coil being removed but I assume it's possible given the advice from the professionals. The stats do suggest that it's rare though.

Best of luck!!
