Getting so frustrated now. Only first cycle so I wasn’t that concerned. But day 38 today

Had coil out during af on June 14th. Plenty of cm and dtd 28-2 July.
Sore boobs, funny dreams, popping feeling in lower tummy, emotional. No nausea but that’s not unusual for me but the main thing is so many BFNs :(

Is there any hope? I just want to know so I can move on and join August bus or start planning my maternity leave for March.

What sort of coil? Mirena?

scarlettrouge · 21/07/2018 23:41

Yep. Still no af, still bfn. Nurse assured me everything would resume as normal straight away!

It might and it might not. Many others report it taking up to 12 months for regular cycles to resume as your body needs to 'wake up' and start producing hormones that came from the coil.

You could ovulate at any time coming off the coil and af should follow about two weeks later unless you become pregnant. So in that sense, your fertility does return straight away - but you don't know when that first ovulation will happen.

I had lovely ovulation symptoms the week of 28th June so I have a tiny bit of optimism Smile but it’s gone on so long I’ve started to google Confused so I’m either not pregnant, pregnant or got some horrific disease caused by drinking water from puddles!

Without a positive test, you aren't considered pregnant.

I would definitely recommend tracking your ovulation a bit more closely. It is very very very common after coming of hormonal bc for your body to attempt ovulation multiple times before being successful. I'd suggest you look into tracking your bbt (google it) to confirm ovulation.

It is very very very average for it to take up to a year to normalize and a year to become pregnant when regular. It's not like they told us at school - have unprotected sex (once) and you WILL get pregnant.

I know. I’m going to test again next week if still no af.
But massively nauseated this morning and a bit of pink when wiping so I think this is af arriving, finally!!
