Hey everyone,

I gave birth to ds 5 months ago. Had suffered three early miscarriages before.

When I have birth I returned to slim waist within two weeks. Was active and all.

Then had unprotected intimacy after 2 months. Following that I started to feel very bloated, gassy... and all those symptoms that I usually got when pregnant.

To be honest I don’t mind getting pregnant now , but I’m worried about not finding out if pregnant early enough because I was consultant led the first 12 weeks of the successful pregnancy because I had to be monitored and given medication to ensure baby survives in my womb and I don’t want another miscarriage.

My slim waist keeps expanding.. which is another reason I’m suspicious.. and sometimes I could swear I feel some movement but could be gas ( sorry tmi).

Basically ... I took clearvue test when I was 3 months postpartum and that gave me a negative. Then another Poundland cheapie when I was 4 months and that was negative.

But I have this conviction within me that I might’ve be pregnant. Could it be my hormones ? Has it happened to anyone ?

I’m nursing and haven’t had any period so far after initial blood loss, and based on my maternal side of the family this never happens to any female in my family they usually get their period straight. So hence one more reason I’m suspecting ( 5 anecdotes).

What do you advise me ?

Test again and if you're concerned check with doc as it could be something else.

To be honest during my first 5 or so months of breastfeeding I had loads of pregnancy symptoms! I think it's just the hormones. I don't think there's any link between when your periods will return postpartum and when other family members' periods returned. There are so many different factors that will make your body decide it's time or not. Also if you are exclusively breastfeeding and baby is under 6 months it's unlikely you've started ovulating yet. It can happen of course but it's an effective way to prevent pregnancy 95%+ of the time.

Keep taking tests but it's not likely you're pregnant.
