So today is my ovulation day my app is correct I've taken an opk today it's definitely a positive. Just wondered if any one else feels a bit like they're on their period during ovulation meaning like mood wise...today I feel so irritable like the slightest thing will set me off. It's one of those moods where you're in a bad mood but not sure why?! Anyone else had this during their fertile week?

It’s due to the rise in progesterone so most women will feel that way. It’s a nightmare but unfortunately all part of the joys of being a woman lol

Lol great! Well at least there's an explanation for it...on to the long 2ww tomorrow!

I came off the pill about 6 weeks ago had one period but am really noticing ovulation this month. I’ve been spotting for 3 days, am really crampy. I haven’t been irritable but I’ve been utterly exhausted- almost as tired as I was when pregnant in the first trimester. Not sure what’s going on really as I’ve not noticed ovulation as strongly before.

For the past few cycles on ovulation day I constantly feel like crying for no reason - has to be the shift in hormones! Don't worry you're not alone!

User147 I've been the same since coming off the pill. I stopped taking it in January and have definately noticed ovulation every time it's weird how the pill covers up all these symptoms. My mood has definitely improved as the day has gone on!

@Murree I'm glad I'm not the only one! I was in such a bad mood earlier for absolutely no reason hoping it was only today!

You don’t ovulate when you’re on the pill which is why you don’t get these symptoms. And not to be a Debbie Downer or anything but when I came off contraception 2 years ago, I got tonnes of awful symptoms post ov/during the tww almost every month for over a year. Severely painful boobs, breakouts, bad mood swings, headaches, nausea, you name it, I had it. I don’t get any at all now but yeah, it can go on for a long time so be prepared lol

I cry for 24 hours around ovulation. Then I’m back to normal afterwards. It’s v odd. I never used to get this (feeling horny was preferable to this!) so I put it down to age. Almost 42.

Thanks @bubblegum89 I'm sure I have all that to look forward to lol. During my 2ww I normally get sore boobs about 4 days before af so naturally anything different I'm thinking is a pregnancy symptom 🙄 I'm annoying myself with it actually and probably OH. Glad I can come on here and get advice and listen to others experiences.

Lol I’ve been there, trust me. Honestly though, tww symptoms aren’t pregnancy related at all so it’s best to try and not think about them even if you’re getting symptoms you don’t normally get or vice versa. Easier said than done, I know. I’ve been pregnant twice and I’ve been not pregnant for a very long time and the two times I’ve been pregnant, I’ve not had a single symptom until I was 4-5 weeks which biologically speaking is about the normal time frame for actual pregnancy symptoms to start, yet in most of my tww’s whilst ttc, I’ve had every symptom going and not been pregnant. The female body is a cruel thing. Hopefully you won’t be doing this as long as me, good luck!
