Negative Home test and doc test but convinced I’m pregnant

Hi, this is my first time here so please excuse any stupidness on my part with regards to abbreviations etc. My partner and I tried this cycle and week later I started feeling symptoms which have gradually gotten stronger, dizzy spells, breasts huge, cramps in my abdomin, insomnia, the lot. I’m today 4 days late, usually I’m like clock work, I go by an app and have a very regular 28 day cycle. When I didn’t get period on Saturday we both just thought it confirmed what we already knew, did a test and it was negative, did three more at home since then and all negative, went to the doctors today and they gave me a blood test and also negative. Problem is I’ve still got the abdominal pain and symptoms and no period? Has anyone else experienced this? Could I be pregnant? Or could there be something else wrong? Any advice would be great, thank you xx

You could have ovulated late or not at all. I have very regular 28 day cycles and have ovulated late a couple of times. It’s not uncommon at all. Have you just come off birth control? That can also delay a period. If you’ve had a lot of negative tests then it’s unlikely you’re pregnant. Symptoms in your tww aren’t pregnancy related anyway. If you haven’t already, do a frer. They’re the most sensitive pregnancy tests. If that’s negative too then I would say that no, you’re not pregnant and your period will turn up at some point

I normally have a regular cycle but in January my period was five days late for no apparent reason. Also when you are ttc you are a lot more aware of your symptoms/body so you notice stuff more, but if you don’t have enough hCG (pregnancy hormone) in your blood to get a positive test then you are very unlikely to get pregnancy symptoms. It’s more likely to be pre-menstrual hormones causing the symptoms, particularly if you have recently come off birth control.

Sorry but it sounds unlikely that you are pregnant and your period will probably turn up in the next few days. However only around 20% of couples conceive on their first month of trying so it’s quite usual for it to take a little while - it was seven months for us. Good luck Flowers
