Hi all, OH and I decided to use the morning after pill last week as we hadn’t used a condom and the timing could definitely be more convenient for our 3rd. However if it did happen we would obviously be happy! Anyway... I’ve had odd symptoms all week that have just made me think I’m pregnant eg SUDDEN nausea and vomiting, heartburn all night, insomnia, bloating, back ache, super emotional. I poas earlier and am sure I can see the faintest line but just not convinced by it either way! I know they say “a line is a line” but if it’s SO very faint could it just be an evap line? The first pic was after about 5 mins and the second one after 10- there’s not much difference. I can still see it an hour later, probably even a bit clearer. What are your thoughts? Is it likely to be a bfp or could the map have messed my hormones up in some way and show on a test? Hmm x

Also around 11/12dpo now

@Twinmumum definitely see a line. Also, the morning after pill did NOT work for me lol! X

Twinmumum · 16/04/2018 20:21

@kate123cl interesting! Do you think it’s because it was over you ovulation time? x

OP posts:
Kate123cl · 16/04/2018 20:44

@Twinmumum I'm really not too sure! If I didn't do a test I wouldn't of had a clue! My only symptom was heartburn! X

DwangelaForever · 16/04/2018 21:36

@Twinmumum I wouldn't rely on a digital so early on they aren't realisable until after the date of your missed period. Hold off for a few days, save your money and buy a first response, it will give you an accurate result after the date of your missed period

Rose2887 · 17/04/2018 07:52

@Twinmumum I got a not pregnant on the digital and a positive on the frer so the digital definitely isn’t sensitive!!
In fact found this on the internet...
(50 milli-International Units per milliliter (mIU/ml) on the day a pregnant woman's period is due)
Xx

Twinmumum · 17/04/2018 18:04

Ooo didn’t know they were so unreliable at this stage! Thanks guys. I took the second one of the Tesco ones I had today and it’s not meant to be used until the day of your missed period but I’m sure I can still see a faint line! Not that it’s any darker than previously though so maybe it’s been a chemical pregnancy? I think last time when I had my twins the line was so dark early on that a faint line at this stage seems like a bfn to me. I’ve attached a picture of the latest one- still a bit of a squinter but they can’t all be evap lines?? I’m due tomorrow though so not long of a wait now either way. x

That last pic is definitely positive in my opinion.. congratulations! (Sort of..) Grin

Spam88 · 17/04/2018 18:10

I wasn't convinced by your first pictures, but that blue dye test definitely looks positive to me.

DwangelaForever · 17/04/2018 18:19

@Twinmumum if that's a Tesco own brand I would be a bit dubious of it 😂🙈 they are really bad for false positives!

Twinmumum · 17/04/2018 18:21

Oh goddd it is their own brand lol...🙈 I’m just going to wait a few days now I think! I could just do with a conclusive answer!

coffeecoffeemorecoffee · 17/04/2018 18:34

Go and buy a first response test, whenever I've been pregnant they've come up positive any time of day, even 3/4 days before my period was due.

SarahBeeney · 17/04/2018 18:36

The last one is definitely positive!

polkadotpixie · 17/04/2018 18:45

They all look positive to me but get a FRER to know for sure!

Rose2887 · 17/04/2018 19:15

Look positive to me, I done a Tesco one and it was completely blank when I tested to early.. there’s definitely a line there!! Xx

NorahChangedHerName · 17/04/2018 19:20

I used Tesco tests and they were always completely blank before I produced enough HCG to produce a positive! It's extremely rare to get a false positive within the time frame it states to test on the packet. Sadly, many people who do get these 'false positives' were actually pregnant and miscarried without knowing it.

Congratulations! Thanks

Justwaitingforaline · 17/04/2018 19:25

That’s positive, OP!

InterstellarSleepingElla · 17/04/2018 19:26

Last photos definitely look to be positive! Don't use Sainsbury's own brand - I found Superdrug own brand and boots digital to be the best for me. Hope you get the result you want Thanks

Twinmumum · 17/04/2018 19:36

Ahh thanks for the input everyone! I’m going to wait until Thursday then will definitely do a frer, so I’ll update you then! Smile x the saga continues...

@Twinmumum good luck :) x

Twinmumum · 18/04/2018 12:23

Update: af seems to have made an appearance so I won’t be wasting money on a frer tomorrow...happy to have an answer finally! 🤗

OP posts:
RLOU88 · 18/04/2018 13:19

It’s just strange how many posts there are about with faint postives or “evaps” all these tests can’t be all wrong. Makes me wonder, as we test so soon before AF due these days, if there was something happening that didn’t proceed? Like an early chemical. Just seems weird to me. Glad you have an answer, OP Flowers

Twinmumum · 18/04/2018 14:00

I know what you mean @RLOU88 I still have such intense nausea too so I think maybe it could’ve been a chemical one. Sometimes early tests aren’t a great thing!

OP posts:
Rose2887 · 18/04/2018 14:04

@RLOU88 my dr said to me this week when I tried booking appointment for midwife that I had to wait as so many woman m/c if they wouldn’t of tested they would just think they were having af!!!! Charming but makes you wonder! Xx

RLOU88 · 18/04/2018 15:19

Yes sadly that's what my DR told me too. Perhaps these early tests aren't very good for us, especially when getting a positive is a longer for result. OP I hope you start feeling better very soon xx
