you would have been most fertile sun-mon and i would assume that youd have ov'd mon-tues. after a while charting you do see a pattern

this calender is the best ive ever used.

the day your temp rises indicates ovulation. It is better to chart your temps for a few months to see if there is a pattern. You should get a hold of Toni Weschler's book "taking charge of your fertility" it is really good and has sample charts to explain things.

you ovulate in a 24 hour period, so to pin point it I would recommend you check temps daily.

I would initially ask you how regular your periods are. If they are irregular in nature then temp charting is pretty much a waste of time and effort.

I would say that charting is not infallible as a method in itself (you can have a temp rise in the second half of a cycle when an egg has not been shed).

Some women can get very hung up on such methods as these can cause stress in their own right. If you do decide to use a temp chart then you need to work out how long you're going to chart for (I would say no more than 3 months max) to see if there are any discernable patterns. You should also be aware that many docs are dismissive of temp charts primarily because they are so unreliable.

Thx for replys. my periods are normally between 31 and 35 days, not normally on the dot. so makes a bit more difficult to pin down ovulation. i have had a look through the links and they have helped. thx
