2dpo & staring down another abyss of symptom analysing, early test resisting, date calculating, FW debriefing crazy brain.

Anyone care to ride it out together? Welcome spotters and distractors alike x

Hi all, can I join too?

Age: 28
TTC: #1
Cycle: 1!

I think I’m about 5dpo now and imagining all sorts of symptoms, even though it’s probably way too early for anything to be happening! 🙈

Jallebi · 25/04/2018 11:16

Thanks @PassTheAfterEights! And baby dust to you and all the other ladies! x

ps - If you do decide to go the OPK route I would recommend CB all the way.

Clacton · 25/04/2018 11:34

Gutted to see AF has shown up for a few of us - fx for next month! I've been timing Reiki sessions with my predicted ov dates and would highly recommend it!!

Symptom spotting this month is insane for me

  • constant burping
  • knackered, been having naps when I get in from work and then bed at 10am
  • aches and cramps
  • Headaches (although that's probably because I'm on decaf everything now 😂)

I've been tracking my BBT and it has dipped so I think that is me out according to everything I've read. Think my body is just adjusting as it's my first ovulation in about 10 years!

Kentishgal · 25/04/2018 15:49

Claxton I was interested in what you said about Reiki - I go to a reflexologist specialising in fertility but she recommended reiki to help with stress - I was a bit sceptical. Do you think it has impacted on your ovulation?

I'm ashamed to say I've poas four times today. I swear I can see a faint line...but that's when it's up against a light and I'm not sure that counts! I'm like a woman possessed!

Kentishgal · 25/04/2018 15:50

Sorry I meant clacton

Clacton · 25/04/2018 16:21

@Kentishgal take a pic and put in black and white - that usually helps!

I was so sceptical about Reiki, but stress is a proven factor against conceiving so if the only thing it does is make me feel relaxed then I decided it was worth a shot! I have PCOS and as soon as her hands were over my abdomen I felt huge amounts of warmth and was ridiculously emotional afterwards. I can't honestly say if it was that that has helped as I've lost around 2 stone too, but I'm going to continue going every month and try and time it around my ovulation date.

Let me know how you get on with it if you go!

Kentishgal · 26/04/2018 06:40

That's really interesting and if you feel it helps with the stress thats the most important thing. I guess it's the same with the reflexology - I'm not sure if it helps but I enjoy it and it makes me feel better!

I did another test last night and I was absolutely sure there was a line - but it's no stronger on this morning's test so probably not a BFP unfortunately!

Clacton · 26/04/2018 12:23

@Kentishgal have you got a picture of it? Reiki is a form of healing so if it does work then that's a bonus!
I was having a moan at my OH before I ov about how much us women have to do. It's crazy

I've still got all my symptoms and now adding in cramping and being an emotional wreck. If this AF it's going to be a killer! Im only 6 dpo so still can't even test!

Kentishgal · 26/04/2018 13:30

Quite! My husband was guilt tripped into cutting out caffeine so that it isn't just me making an effort!

I bought a frer on the way to work (and did it in the loo at work...what has become of me!) - It's definitely 100% negative. I'll see if I can post one of the ones from yesterday although not sure if you'll be able to see anything on a photo!

Kentishgal · 26/04/2018 13:31

Ha just looked at that again - it looks v negative but I swear there was a line!!

lolacola13 · 26/04/2018 14:49

I can see something @Kentishgal .... I take the attitude though now through heartache of indents etc that unless itsvstaring me in the face I see it as negative .

Kentishgal · 26/04/2018 15:03

I think that's a v sensible approach! I swear next month I'll be less obsessed (I say it every month).

helloworld88 · 27/04/2018 06:33

Hello...back in the tww again...really doubt this will be our month as we only managed to dtd once grrr

I'm 2dpo today and af due May 7th

Been great seeing some bfps on this thread 😁

Clacton · 27/04/2018 12:05

@Kentishgal I can see the line! Have you tested again today!

@helloworld88 fingers crossed for you!

Kentishgal · 27/04/2018 12:19

Yes I have but it's totally negative! I think lesson learned not to squint at them as I only gets my hopes up 😢 and just found out a really smug person I know is pregnant to add insult to injury!! But there we go. Any more news with you Clacton?

sprinkleofsunshine · 27/04/2018 14:49

Oh I'm sorry to hear that @Kentishgal really thought I could see something too!

I'm testing tomorrow, have been very good and held off, will be 12 days dpo tomorrow & af due Monday. Still having lots of symptoms so hope that's a positive sign and not in my head!

Kentishgal · 27/04/2018 16:37

Thank you. Next month!

I'm in awe - that's very restrained of you! Fingers crossed - let us know how you get on!

sprinkleofsunshine · 27/04/2018 18:48

@Kentishgal all no need to be! As dh is away tomorrow I caved and did one tonight and got a bfn :-(

I did a Tesco home and it says not to do until day af is due & im 11 dpo with af not due until next week. I'm hoping it's too early as I still think I've had loads of symptoms and should try with fmu but I don't know, prob not great :-(

sprinkleofsunshine · 28/04/2018 09:31

Ladies, please help I need your eyes! I think a faint line has come up on my test I took last night & one I took this morning with fmu. I'm about to go and get a frer, these are the Tesco ones that say not to test until af due which is early next week.

First pic is last night, second this morning, can you see anything?

sprinkleofsunshine · 28/04/2018 09:35

Although ta quite possible I've mixed them up Hmm

Kentishgal · 28/04/2018 10:48

I definitely see a line!!! Fingers crossed for you....eagerly awaiting frer result!

sprinkleofsunshine · 28/04/2018 11:07

Those two tests now have two definite faint lines of them but they have been left out for ages & have got darker. I took a clear blue early one as I couldn't get the first response with my second morning wee today and it's blank. I'm convincing myself I can see a something but it's not really not obvious at all so I really doubt it. Thinking those other two are false positives Sad

Kentishgal · 28/04/2018 16:41

That's confusing - don't give up hope though as there is definitely something there on the pic. See how it is in the morning - how many days post ov are you?

I've given up - af due Monday - we're off on holiday for some stress release and will keep our fingers crossed for next month!

Clacton · 28/04/2018 16:44

@Kentishgal oh no! I really feel your pain about others pregnancy's. Because we have now been trying for 14 months, we've told quite a few of my friends and work colleagues that we are TTC and about our visits to the fertility clinic. I get regular heads up from them about any potential pregnancies so I can then do my best to smile and congratulate when they tell me. I hate the bitterness it brings! Fingers crossed for next month for you!

@sprinkleofsunshine I think I can see something on the first one! I've heard (not sure on how true) that the pink tests are better at showing earlier pg.

I'm so bloated that I can't do cope with wearing any jeans etc. Very frustrating when I've lost 2 stone and now look 9 months gone! And I've been a hormonal wreck! I also had a dip on BBT which I've read could be implantation dip? Trying hard not to get my hopes up as I know my hormones are all over at the moment anyway. I'm 7 dpo so going to hold out till Friday but I have such an urge to POAS!

Clacton · 28/04/2018 16:46

Enjoy your holiday @Kentishgal! Relaxing and extra vitamin d might be just what you need to get you ready for next month.
