Symptom spotting but...

I know I'm symptom spotting but can't help myself. Too early to test (9dpo) but very impatient (I'm sure I'm not alone). The last few days my boobs have felt much firmer and tender (not to mention the tickly nipples I've had for the last 5 days or So). I know it's early days but can this be associated with af too? (I hope not) xxx

Yes. All symptoms in your tww are related to progesterone and not pregnancy. I’ve been ttc for a long time and I get sore/tender boobs and tingly nipples most months abs haven’t been pregnant yet. I have been pregnant twice in the past (when not ttc) and I can tell you now, pregnancy boobs are absolutely killer, PMS boobs are nothing in comparison lol

I have a son already and had this same thing and found out I was expecting him. This is never a system of af for me but thought it probably could be. This waiting lark is a killer. So hard not to over analysis every tiny thing! Roll on test day 😊

I never had sore boobs apart from the two times I was pregnant. So when I got them on month one of ttc, I was sure I was pregnant. I’ve had them almost every month for 18 months now. Your tww symptoms can change and come and go and so it’s best not to think too much of them. It doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant, it’s just that they aren’t related to pregnancy at this point

Thanks. It's so hard isn't it. I try and ignore it but every twinge etc gets me wondering. Only 8 days until af is due. Fingers crossed it goes quickly one way or another xx

I’m guessing you’re just starting out with ttc. If so, I totally empathise, I was such a bad symptom spotter the first few months! I don’t pay attention to anything now even if I know it’s not “normal” because I know there’s no such thing as normal when it comes to ttc lol hopefully you will know either way soon

You guessed it! Quite impatient in general which I know is not my best quality. I can tell myself it takes what it takes etc but just can't help myself when the tww comes along. I know I'm so fortunate to have my son as know others aren't as lucky. I just need to try ignore everything and just see what happens. Good luck to you all xx

If you're 9 dpo then isn't your period 5 days off? I got a very, very faint positive on a Superdrug test at 9dpo. And a clear positive on a FRER the same day with evening urine. Not that I'm encouraging you to test!

KimRobs87 · 30/03/2018 15:43

I don't need to be encouraged 😁 I have a long cycle (40 days, today is cd 32) so unfortunately still a way to go x

When i conceived my DD i knew i was pregnant before af came, because literally only about 6 or so days po my boobs suddenly became really veiny. I literally did a double take when i caught sight of them in a mirror, it was bizarre. This was very different from anything I'd experienced before in the lead up to af (i used to get sore nipples and a bit of tenderness). So definitely possible to see early changes. My friend and I were chatting about it a while ago and we agreed the clues are in the boobs! When i became pregnant again i did notice more veinyness again before af. But i was still breastfeeding so it was less noticeable as my boobs were still a not veiny from that. Everyone is different though, and this is just me. Good luck op Flowers

Well, tmi but my nipples defo look different (they did with my first) too but it's hard to know whether it's in your head? I really hope it's the same outcome 🙏 I think it'll be a long week lol x
