Thrush when ttc

Argh, thrush! Help!
I've had thrush all week - tail end of tww - and have been waiting to find out whether AF is arriving or I'll have a BFP in order to treat accordingly.
Unfortunately, it was the former that greeted me today :-( the up side to this was that I knew the thrush tablets were a no go in pregnancy so now AF is here I was free to purchase them, which I have done and now read on packet that they shouldn't be used when ttc too!
Does anyone know how strict this is? Is this warning for people mid-cycle and ttc? I know I'm not pregnant now, I know there will be no more dtd until next week so can I take this tablet guilt free today?
I know I should be getting advice from my gp really but I'd have to wait for ages for an appointment and I've already been suffering for a week - and by then I'll be outside the 'not pregnant and won't be for at least a week' window!
I just want this gone now

You can use the pessary in pregnancy.

I've read that since but I've already purchased the tablet and am not going to get by another pharmacy so I was hoping to just be able to take that today and be done with it!

I've also used the pessary in pregnancy but GP advise not to use the applicator.

I can't imagine it would do any harm if you know your not actually pregnant.

If your worried then pop into a locally pharmacy for advice - or phone the NHS non emergency number maybe they can advise?

Personally I would have no issues taking it if I had my AF. (Although appreciate I am a stranger online lol)

Generally all medicines say not to be used when pregnant as they aren't tested on pregnant woman (not really ethical) but a lot of medications are used in pregnancy.

Thanks ladies.
I think I'll go for it. AF just started today so I'm know both that I'm not pregnant and that I won't be for the week or so it should take for the medicine to get of my system.
Not even near to the BFP yet and all the info out there already causing anxiety about doing the 'right' thing!
