Low hcg 234 and progesterone 6

Please can anyone shed any light. Had a BFp and then clear blue stated 2-3 weeks. Went to the doctor and they stated I was 7 weeks pregnant so I booked a private scan to determine birth as was unsure of conception. At the scan they couldn’t find anything, and thought eptopic. Just been to the hospital and they have said the bloods are hcg 234 and progesterone 6 (he had booked me in for more bloods in 2 days but has now called and cancelled saying I’m likely to miscarry, the pregnancy isn’t viable, and to contact next week if anything hasn’t happened) just done another test and the lines are so strong.

Has anybody been in this position and had a positive outcome?

Thank you x

I'm so sorry OP. That doesn't sound good. Unfortunately I've been in a similar position, although they did see something on the scan. You can continue to get strong positive results on tests for a long time, even after miscarrying. It's so cruel Flowers

Hi OP
Unfortunately my HCG levels were almost the same as yours and it ended in miscarriage.
Unless the bloods results were incorrectly recorded (which has been known to happen but is rare) then i doubt very much it’s a viable pregnancy.
But truthfully, the doctor should not have cancelled your second blood test as another test 48 hours later is the only way to determine how the HCG is rising.

Also, the EPU told me that they look for the progesterone to be anything above 10 in early pregnancy for your body to be ble to hold onto it x

I’m so sorry OP.
I’m here if you need a chat or a rant x

Oh, so sorry, Har1812. It doesn't sound like your doctor has handled things sensitively. There is lots of support on Mumsnet for women who are going through miscarriage. I have had two and I received very little medical support or advice on what to expect. I found this site very helpful: www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk

Hugs to you. The sun will come out again, love x
