Implant removal

I'm sure this has been done loads of times but still...

I had my implant removed 4 weeks and I've still had no period and definitely not pregnant. I desperately want to conceive dc2 but nothing is happening.

Is this normal? When I had the one removed previous to dc1 I had a bleed within a few days of it being taken out and was pregnant within 6 weeks. I know it's different every time but I'm starting to get concerned now!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It can take up to a year for your cycles to regulate again after coming off hormonal birth control. It’s completely normal to have weird cycles or even no period at all for a few months after removal. Like you said, it’s different every time. Unfortunately our bodies have zero predictability and what works once won’t necessarily work again.

When I came off the implant, I was lucky enough that my cycles went straight back to normal. However I’ve been trying to conceive for 18 months with no luck, despite having been pregnant twice before whilst on the pill. Nothing is a given lol I honestly wouldn’t be concerned. Give it a couple more months and if you still haven’t had a period, call your GP as they may give you something to induce one

Thanks for the response. Literally as soon as I posted this I went to the loo and I've got my period Blush
