First Gyne appointment. What to expect?

I have my first gyne appointment next week after DH & I have been TTC for now 15 months. I'm a little scared to be honest. Has anyone else gone this far with testing? What can I expect from my first appointment? Is there anything I need to know in advance?

Have a list of questions you want to ask - write them down. I had a list of all my cycle lengths since ttc (which made my gynaecologist think they were irregular).

Have an empty bladder as they may well do an internal scan. Be prepared to talk about your sex life.

The appointment may well be with a nurse who will go through lots of paperwork and perhaps order more tests for you an/or your oh.

Lots of people have been where you are - you aren't alone. We long time ttcers tend to hang out on the infertility board...

Thank you @physicskate. I'll be sure to write down my cycles. I thought since I'm so young (27) & have had a pregnancy before I wouldn't struggle to conceive. It appears that's not the case. Your kind words have made me realise how common it actually is & that there is support that doesn't need to be in the form of just healthcare professionals.

In the same boat here, OP. Husband had sperm analysis done 3 weeks ago, just waiting on the result. I’ve had ultrasound, blood tests, all normal. I have DD (3.5) from a previous relationship and fell pregnant with the coil in situ so was surprised we haven’t fallen yet, 18 months later. Infertility doesn’t have an age range, it can happen to anyone Flowers
