Reason I ask is that I am now CD64 - took provera CD52 to CD57 to induce AF as preg test on CD47 was BFN. No AF arrived. Been crampy in and off since CD57 but no AF. Sore boobs (could be sign of AF - both are sore) Pronounced nipple area. Sticky CM but thats all really.

If I am pg will provera have damaged baby? Or would the increased prgesterone then stopping induce mc?

Am probably worrying needlessly but thought AF would be here by now but she doesnt see to be coming and am starting to wonder as dp and i carried on BDing till around CD43.

If anyone up please help xx

awen,

If that PITA condition called PCOS is at the root cause of your fertility problems then I think it is very unlikely that you have ovulated this month. It is also common to have very long cycles which are often anovulatory with this particular condition.

Would also say that cycles over 40 days in length are more often than not anovulatory ones.

If you are really concerned then I would speak with the clinic/hospital you are under.

If PCOS is the root cause how else is this being treated?.

Feel an idiot. dp getting some tests to put mind at rest. crampy this morning and sore boobs. Dont usually get sore boobs b4 af - but never taken provera before either.

Congratulations awen,

I?m not an expert but I once asked my gyneco the same question as I also used to take Provera to induce my periods when I wasn?t on the pill. She told me that it doesn?t harm the embryo in any way and that some women even have to take progesterone supplement (Provera, etc) for a few months at the beginning of their pregnancy when they have progesterone deficiency.

Talk to your GP if you need reassurance but if I were you I wouldn?t worry.

Hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

As for the cramping, I'm now 9 weeks pregnant with my first and I had mild to moderate cramping for the first 6 weeks. It's apparently normal.
