Hey guys I'm completely new to mumsnet and ttc with my partner. I recently came off my pill on 12th January and came on my withdrawal period on 16th-19th January. During this time my partner and I discussed about us trying for a baby and that I shouldn't go back on my pill. So we've been having unprotected sex since then, I've been pooping lots 🙈 weeing lots and keep getting pains like I'm going to get my period but it never comes. Is this a sign I could be pregnant or me just imagining it lol. I don't know when I would be ovulating as I've not long came off the pill and my periods before the pill were never regular. Should I take a test or is it far to early?

TIA 😁

When I came off the mini pill I had loads of pregnancy symptoms which are very common. So yours could just be from all the hormones coming out of your body. It can take a few months for your body to regulate after coming off the pill and start ovulating again, I used ovulation sticks from amazon which were great and cheap. Good luck.

It's very unlikely that you have ovulated yet. After ovulation you need the egg to be firtilised implant before you get pregnancy symptoms. You are probably not pregnant.

After ovulation, it takes 6-12 days (average is 9 dpo) for implantation to occur, which is when symptoms could begin, but it is more likely for symptoms to start a minimum of two weeks after ov (sometimes much more!). It is unlikely you ovulated during your withdrawal bleed and therefor unlikely for you to be pregnant.

Take a test to put your mind at ease. LOW expectations is the key to surviving the misery that is ttc... should listen to my own advice sometimes

I would count day one of your withdrawal bleed as day one of this cycle and then use an app like ovia to track your cycle for the next few months until it starts to settle down into a regular pattern. There is a very small chance you could be pregnant if you ovulated right after stopping the pill but it’s more likely the symptoms are just your body adjusting to the change in hormone patterns. You could do a test to be sure though. And keep dtd through the next couple of weeks!

It's way too early I'm afraid. My body did all kinds of strange things in the months after stopping the pill while my hormones settled down.
