Ok girls so I had my first bfp with a FRER on Thursday evening. It was ever so faint but it was there. I did another FRER yesterday evening and again a super faint bfp, this time a smidgen darker. Anyway because there were both done with evening urine I thought I would do one last one this morning with fmu since a darker line would put my mind at rest. I'm now really worried as I'd say the line was more like Thursday evenings. Still getting BFNs on internet cheapies too.

I know, I know, I shouldn't keep testing and it takes 48 hours for hcg to double etc but I had a miscarriage in December and can't help thinking these lines should 1) be darker at 10/11/12 dpo and 2) should show some hint of progression in terms of darkness.

Has anyone actually had lines this faint and such slow progression and still gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

🙏🤞🙏🤞🙏

I don't have a real answer as I've only just got a bfp myself (wrdnesday) but I totally understand your anxiety over it - I've been testing every morning too and AF is due tomorrow so I'm just praying it doesn't come! If it helps at all, i havent sctually noticed any progression on my lines. As far as I am aware it also depends a bit on how hydrated you are (ie concentration of urine)? I think there's nothing either of us can do really except just wait and hope AF doesn't show... but please know you're not alone in worrying!!

mamabear05 · 27/01/2018 09:30

@surreygirl1987 fingers crossed for both of us! Are your lines as faint as mine? X

Hmmm maybe most like the middle one in your pic. But also I have only been using fmu and before I drink anything. I don't know how they'd look in the evening!

Mamabear i had this, it got abit fainter one day and i was worried, but now the test is much darker (pic) i know its hard but try not to worry too much. Hcg is secreted in sortof waves so one day might be darker then a smidge lighter then 2 days later darker. Fx and ((sticky vibes)) Flowers

Also, i found my tests with FMU were WAYYY fainter than afternoon/evening ones. Fmu isnt always the best way for everyone, some people find it gives them better lines, some dont xx

The sensitivity and amount of dye varies massively between tests of the same brand. As does the concentration of your urine from Day to Day. Don’t panic

mamabear05 · 28/01/2018 10:11

@HoneyCake86 thank you for the success story, it does lift my spirits a little although I do think it will all be over for me soon. My test from this morning is even lighter than Thursday evenings. Might try my one last test tomorrow evening incase I'm the same as you and fmu is just crap and today was just my 'it even got a bit lighter one day' but either way nature will take its course I'm sure.

How many days after your first faint positive did you get that dark one? I've had 3 days of faint, definitely there and pink, but so faint they're hard to photograph lines now.

You don't happen to have any pictures of your others do you?

Clutching at straws whilst trying to stay relaxed about the whole thing lol. Will deal with it either way I just can't stand not knowing what's going on with my own body haha x

Mine were fainter than this on FRER until about two or three days after my period was due but still there.

I’m now 8+5 with a healthy baby with a heartbeat and everything!

mamabear05 · 30/01/2018 18:45

@MonaTheMoaner congratulations! I'm not bleeding so mine has definitely not stuck. That's two in a row now...third time lucky maybe eh x

I know its hard hun but its a fact that when testing on consecutive days, the levels fluctuate as it rises. It even says that on the clearblue leaflet. It took about a few days for the line to get obvious then it got darker and darker every 2 days.

HoneyCake86 · 30/01/2018 19:04

It was very faint in the morning, then afternoon was dark then at night was slightly fainter again i found. On 14 dpo i did 3 tests each on them times and thats how it went. It was so wierd. Maybe its because im active and therefore blood circulating more?

And yes im obsessed with testing. I must have spent over £100 on frers alone 🙈🙈

mamabear05 · 30/01/2018 20:10

@HoneyCake86 those pics look fab! So so many congratulations to you! My post should say I'm now bleeding lol so not a sticky one for us this time. Hopeful for the future though xx
