Heard a few warnings about this saying it can knock back ovulation by as much as a week. Read a few articles that suggest it’s good for getting your hormones back on track following the pill as well however.

Just wondering what other people’s thoughts are in it. I’ve started taking it at 1000 per day but as just getting my cycles back after pill wondering if I should.

I’ve just gone back to epo last cycle. It pushed my ovulation back 2 days but as I ovulate early this isn’t a bad thing for me as it pushes it to a more normal proliferate phase. It also regulates my luteal phase to 14 days where as I found agnus Castus made it 16+ days.

I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a normal cycle but it does help if your cycles are a bit screwy like mine.

There are warnings about taking it after ovulation online though hun so be careful. I'm not sure how true they are. I was taking it and subsequently miscarried, might just be a coincidence though but after reading some reports online since I'm staying well clear x

Did a bit of googling and says:
"Evening Primrose Oil should only be taken from menstruation to ovulation, as EPO may cause uterine contractions." So day 1-14 I guess? x

There aren’t actually any significant scientific studies on the use of evening primrose oil in pregnancy or even for conception. Hence why the advice is up to ovulation. If you google any supplement and pregnancy not a single one will tell you to take it when pregnant because there hasn’t been any studies on the effects of them on babies in the womb. Same with most medicines because who would want to be a guinea pig for that.

It's also meant to help with CM I believe, but only to be taken up to ovulation. I'm giving it a go this month
