Contact sport in 2ww

First cycle questions...
I play a contact sport, which I will stop if I get pregnant, but do I need to stop when TTC?
I want to keep playing as it keeps me fit and I enjoy it and then there's the added issue of the questions about why I'm not playing.
I don't want to hurt our chances but it could take years anyway and then it's a double blow of no hobby and no baby.
Anyone got the right advice?

Keep up with all your sports/hobbies/activities!

If you have to stop during the 2ww each month that'll be such a pain.

I guess no problem if you get a BFP quickly but if it's 12 months or so down the line it'll get quite tedious to give up things "just in case"

Keep it up. It will only do you good.

I do climbing, mountaineering, MMA and Ju-juitsu, I'm not giving any of it up until I get that BFP! 10 years ago with #1 I was going to the gym 9 or 10 times a week and didn't find out I was pregnant until 11 weeks and I was doing some quite serious weights for a 5'1 waif. 😂 Keep it up until its no longer safe to do so. I didn't stop the gym until I was 25 weeks because that was what my body was used to. I started swimming after that. Hope that helps. X

Thanks, that's what I was hoping for!
I definitely Don't want to give it up any earlier than necessary.
Maybe if it doesn't happen in the next year I can think about it then.

Yes, tbh foetus is well protected through 12 weeks anyway in your pelvis and balance won't be affected so can carry on even most moderately risky activities til then. But most people feel pretty rank in the first trimester anyway and tend to throttle back a bit naturally.
