Not ovulating...when to see the GP?

I have been off the Pill 2 cycles and have been charting regularly and so far there is no sign of ovulation.

My next ovulation is "due" over the Christmas holidays (cycle 3). I am pretty sure it won't happen I am 34 going on 35, have been on the pill 17 years, plus my parents had problems conceiving me so I don't have high hopes of getting pregnant easily.

Usually I would be very laid back about this sort of thing but I am itching to make a GPs appointment for mid Jan assuming I don't ovulate over Christmas. DH thinks I am being way to aggressive and I should just let nature takes its course.

I am keen to get pregnant asap and if I have spotted a problem I would like to address it sooner rather than later. Am I jumping the gun??

Are you using ovulation sticks? If not how do you know you're not ovulating?

Most doctors won’t see you only 2 cycles into ttc. It can take a while after coming of birth control for your body to get back to normal and that includes ovulation occurring. I would give it at least 6 months, your GP might do some blood tests then but I can’t imagine them doing anything for a while yet. I know it’s frustrating but unfortunately when it comes to ttc and fertility, it really is a waiting game.

As the op is chatting I'm aiming she hasn't seen a shift.

I would continue to chart for six months so you have some more info to take to your go.

If you wanna share your charts for a second opinion?

I doubt the GP will do anything. It's very common for it to take several months for your cycle to come back after you've been on hormonal contraception. They're probably not going to be interested or offer you anything until you've been period-free for 6 months to a year, and even then there isn't much they can do. Time is what really sorts this stuff out
