Trying to conceive after coming off Dianette.

I have been on different pills for the last 12 years on and off (more on than off) First I was on Marvelon for a couple of years, then I went on to Celeste for a year and then went on to Dianette. I was on it for about 7 years and came off it last May. Ttc since January but periods have been quite erratic. My cycle seems to be long (about 40 days on average) and not particularly regular although my last two cycles have been slightly shorter. Should I be concerned or is this fairly normal after coming off Dianette? Getting a bit dispondent now. How soon should I pay a visit to the doctors?

I took Dianette for my skin when I was 18 and it gave me terrible mood swings, I was really emotional and burst into tears at the slightest thing so I went off it after a year and switched to Cilest.

Have been off Cilest for nearly 2 years now. Has taken us 20 months to conceive (5w+5...so fingers crossed) with one mc along the way. I don't feel like my pill made a difference with us conceiving. Just have to accept that many women are not going to get pg straight away (though there are lots of annoying people who do!).

But it's a complete bitch going off the pill as my skin is hideous right now. There's not many things my gp could prescribe me because we were ttc (and now pg...hooray!)

hiya i started dianette yesterday,i had the contracetive injection in nov 09, only had one shot but it stopped my period. bleed a little bit every so often. i had a scan last month to check for pcos. i have it & only my left ovary is working. I asked for the pill in hope it would regulate my period. i am wanting a baby ( thats why i stopped the injection) i plan to stop the pill after 3months in hope my cycle is some wot normal. reading all these posts has worried me about it taking a while to concieve. Thought I would give some hope to people as after reading people's difficulties I felt like there was non. I was on the pill for 12 years, microgynon for around 5 and dianette for 7 years due to acne. I can off the pill end of March and my last bleed stopped beginning of May. We had sex a handful of times as thought we would not conceive, only coming off the pill to prepare for TTC after our wedding next June. 5 weeks later I am pregnant! Total shock! Had taken 2 previous tests which were negative and now a few weeks later a positive reading! I only checked as had a positive ovulation reading. So there is hope! Don't give up xx
