Feeling like i will never conceive! It’s been 6 months so no luck. I’ve had endometriosis diagnosised in 2011. I’ve just got blood tests done and all normal apart from low iron (prob from extreme heavy periods) . I’ve just started using opk and got some conceive plus which haven’t used yet. We are dtd before and after ovulation. My periods are 28 days every months. My partner already has a child. Anything else I can do?

It’s quite normal to take a year to conceive.

It just seems everyone I know it takes them 1 or 2 months

BLM18 i'm feeling a bit the same. It's hard going isn't it ☹ This is my 5th cycle of properly trying, tracking ovulation etc but been off conception for almost 9 months. I know a few of my friends got their BFP's around 8/9th cycle though so don't think we should be worrying yet

It's very normal for it to take 6-24 months to conceive. It may seem like everyone gets pregnant in month 1 or 2 but I'm sure if you asked around there would be plenty of people who took longer. It took me 20 months to get a bfp (ended in mc).
Eat sensibly, take folic acid, exercise, have sex lots - that's about as much as you can do right now.
Good luck!

Sending you hugs ... x

How old are you? Under 30 and most (80%) will have conceived within a year, over 30 and most conceive with 18 months. Over 35 and things change considerably.

Needadvicetoleave · 25/11/2017 15:25

And yes, it feels like forever when everyone around you seems to conceive really easily!

Zest11 · 25/11/2017 15:29

Arghh I completely understand where you are coming from. Been ttc for longer and nothing! And like you it feels like it happens to everyone else within a few months. It's good they know you have endo though because you could have a lap and they can scrape it out and that often makes it easier to conceive. Good luck!

I am 32. So it needs to happen soon!!

32 is nothing! I had my two DC (as well as one m/c) in my mid-late 30s and am ttc#3 at age 41. You've got years left yet. Not that i'm ever suggesting anyone should delay ttc but really you've got years left (unless of course you have an unusual health/hormonal issue that you're not disclosing). Most of my friends and relatives have all had their DC in their mid-late 30s too.
I feel your frustration (I'm 12 months into ttc this one) though. It's hard when you've been led to believe all your life you can conceive at the drop of your knickers. Good luck hun.
