Would implantation bleeding = positive frer?

Hi all,

I’m on cd24 (cycle length 28). For the last two days I’ve had brown cm which I don’t normally have. I’m normally just straight into full flow af. I did a frer this morning and it was BFN.

My question is, if you get an implantation indicator like this, is it a given you would be releasing enough HCG to be picked up on a frer?

Thanks.

Honestly, I know how awful the waiting is, but you're better off not reading into anything and waiting a few more days. Good luck though! Hope you get a positive result. Flowers

Thanks for your reply. You are right - but I’m not getting worked up about it, more curious as to the science behind it. Wondering whether implantation immediately means you would see it on a hpt or whether it needs a few days for hormones to be high enough to register.

It takes a few days after implantation for HCG to be detectable in your urine.

No not yet. It can vary the amount of time for a FRER to pick anything up. Especially if your hcg is very low. It could be a week past AF in some cases.

Thanks Terrifying and Mouselove. I’m not getting my hopes up - it’s just really unusual for me, especially so long before my period. I’m wondering whether lots of unprotected sex can change your cycle a bit? The only thing that makes me think that is that if I’m due on in the next few days and we do that - it often brings my period on early. Probably not a very scientifically robust theory though!

I’ll wait a few days and test again. Thanks for your replies.
