Hi everyone, I'm super confused I come on every month the same time like clock work ever since I started its been the same date every month well this month I came on three days early and have been experiencing waves of dizziness last night I woke up and was sick once till the point I had nothing left to sick up but I felt so much better after and haven't been sick since when I came on the first two days have been super heavy and so many blood clots which also never happeneds for me and usually I am in creasing pain and this time I'v felt barely any pain I'm hungry all the time and never feel full but then feel sick randomly my bladder is terrible and also am feeling so tired but still sleeping at night, when googling Simptoms and about my period it comes up with implantation bleeding and loads of ladies saying they had it for 7 days like a normal period I don't know what to think any advice or any help would be super helpful

Yeah, and chart your BBT, because it tells you after ovulation occurs so you know whether it's happened or not

babymonitor2017 · 08/10/2017 20:25

I seem really dumb but how does it all work do you just get an ordinary thermometer and check it every day and write it down on the calander

No, you have to use a basal thermometer. You check every morning at around the same time and it must be before you get out of bed or sit up or do anything really. Enter the temps on a fertility app or just a paper chart. Your temp rises the day after ovulatation, so you know you have ovulated. Here's my chart

What app do you use if you don't mind me asking

Fertility Friend

Forgot to add, as you can see from my chart, the temp stays quite high until the day you are going to get your period, when it drops sharply.

babymonitor2017 · 08/10/2017 21:12

So it drops before your period and rises after ovulation and then when it rises do you take an ovulation test ?

No no no, you take an ool every day for about five or six days depending on the length of your cycle (it tells you in the leaflet in the box). So my cycle is 27 days long which means I'm supposed to start taking ov tests on day 11 of my cycle. You do one every day until it's positive, which means your luteunising hormone has spiked. This means you are due to ovulate in the next 12 to 36 hours, so as soon as you get a positive opk you should start having lots of sex!

Your tenperature rises AFTER you have ovulated so if you get a temp rise and haven't had sex for a few days, you've probably missed your fertile window. But the point of using OPKs and BBT charting together means you can pinpoint when you ovulated. Also keep an eye on cervical mucus - stretchy, see through stuff indicates your fertile window.

OPK, not ool

VJONES1985 · 09/10/2017 18:42

Did you test today?
