Went to see if they could do blood tests to see if I'm ovulating but they said I have to wait a year..."if they tested now it could add to your stress of conceiving" wtf?? Had a mmc last December so it's been 9 months.... I'm no spring chicken almost 38... And because I've technically been pregnant 4 times (2DDs and 2MC) there's no reason not to conceive. He also said that even though my periods are slightly irregular it still means I'm ovulating because I'm having a period... He obviously hasn't heard of anovulatory cycles?! Grrr just annoyed... Back to the internet to do more research....

Can you book into see a female GP? Not being sexist but often men have no clue about the stress of conceiving and all the details that go with it (am speaking from experience I work in that field) x

Also if over 35 it is standard to investigate after 6 months not 12 xx

Could you temp to confirm ovulation?

Going to try and get a female gp... And ask again. I thought it was 6 months too 😐 I think I was just panicked when I was there that all the info left my head. 😳 I'm trying to temp but failing miserably... I wake up in the night to go to the loo and in the morning I haven't slept for 3 consecutive hours so I'm not it's actuated but will carry on 😁 He even went to check with the gyno expert at the surgery to check... And he too suggested to wait...😖

NICE guidelines say women over 35 should be referred if they have trouble conceiving after 6 months of regular unprotected sex ie min 3x a week. I'm not sure what it says if you've been pregnant before though
