Hi all I'm not sure if this is the right place so apologies if not.
Me and my partner are planning to TTC sometime early next year when our little one is 2.
I have recently come off my contraception and started using condoms. Tbh we both hate them so we have just been resorting to the withdrawal. He pulls out in plenty of time and we have been together 11 years.
Question is I have read that pre cum does and doesn't contain sperm. Heard both so what's the facts?? If he is finishing 5 or so mins after then is there much chance?? Sorry for the tmi

Sorry if this doesn’t answer your question but my partner used condoms & the withdrawal method & I didn’t get pregnant for over a year, but we done it properly once & I fell pregnant first time, but I have also known someone to fall pregnant with the withdrawal method so I guess it depends of the person really x

There is sperm in precum. There has been a few threads about it recently and there were plenty of mum's with babies because of the withdrawal method on the thread. The general consensus is: if you don't want to get pregnant use proper contraception preferably a barrier method. But even using contraception there is still a risk of unplanned pregnancy.

We used withdrawal and got pregnant. So cum, precum whatever. Withdrawal method leaves a lot of couples pregnant. Don't do it if you don't want a baby yet.

See some things iv read say there is no sperm in pre cum and others say there is. I think the risk is minimal and if we did get pregnant is would only be slightly earlier than planned but wondered how likely it is x

It's sufficiently likely.

I've used the withdrawal method for 2 years and never got pregnant. However there is always a risk. Some might say you are actively TTC if you don't use a form of contraception, DH and I always saw it as if we did fall pregnant then although officially 'unplanned' we would be happy and in a place where we could provide for a baby so wouldn't be an issue. If you don't want a baby full stop then don't use withdrawal method as mentioned above as we have now be ACTIVELY TTC for 11 months now so maybe only didn't get pregnant from withdrawal for 2 years because there could be something wrong with us?! Agh! If it would be a massive drama falling pregnant then stick to using contraception

No wouldn't be a massive drama no just a little earlier than planned
