I've been off the contraceptive pill for around a month and had so much trouble with my AF but I'm aware it can make it irregular when you change or come off a pill due to withdrawal etc. On Monday AF came for 2 days then stopped for 2 days, and yesterday and today I've just had light pink spotting? However previously my periods were 14 days long sometimes and heavy throughout (sorry if Tmi) does anyone know how long it can take for your periods to correct themselves so I can track when is best to try conceive?! Thank you!

I had problems with the pill after I had my son; I was basically bleeding constantly on and off for 7 months until I stopped to use something else.

I fell pregnant the day after I stopped taking it. I can pin point the exact date - with a 7 month old baby and they had stitched me up too tight so it hurt to have sex means we were having it that often haha!

I'm currently pregnant with our third but this time it took me 4 months to get pregnant.

It's so hard for me to work out when is best to conceive because my periods now are so irregular, I use the Ovia app to kind of help me. I've been on and off with the pill for about 3 months, periods can go between 10-14 days, but now it's bleeding on and off. Hopefully it'll sort itself out soon so I know when to DTD more often haha!

I had a period tracker (some days it would say 70 days until next period) haha! We didn't put too much pressure on it, just "if it happens, it happens". We just got to have lots of fun as often as possible hehe!

It's not the pill. You don't need time to get it out of your system. Just people's cycles change with time and people often have different ones coming off the pill than when they started the pill years earlier. This is info from a contraceptive and women's health specialist GP.

I'd personally speak to the GP regarding the 10-14 day long periods. I think it would be worth getting that checked out.

Hi karate! Yeah I think I best to be honest. The last time I mentioned it my GP just said it can be from the pill and kind of shrugged it off but I was and still am concerned. It's not as if it's just spotting either it's always full on for the full 10-14 days. Il book another appointment regarding it. Thank you Smile
