I know the only way to know for sure is to test again but I wondered if I could maybe have some input on this?

I came off the mini pill 5 weeks ago. Myself and DH haven't exactly been careful although we weren't planning to properly try until this time next year, sorry if TMI but we have had a bit of a mixture of condoms but mostly just the withdrawal method.

I haven't had a period but had a very small amount of spotting about 2 weeks ago. My boobs have been absolute agony to the point where last night I wasn't sure if to try and see my GP about it as I was wincing in pain at putting a bra on, its not just my boobs but my nipples too, I've experienced slight breast tenderness before but this is something else!

I did a Clearblue test on the 8th and it said 'not pregnant' so I thought nothing more of it and carried on as normal, however, speaking to one of my gf's at the weekend she said its 'unusual' to not have a period by 2-4 weeks of being off the pill and what with the breast pain I should test again.

I don't feel sick at all but keep coming over really dizzy and light-headed.

I'm just not sure whether to try another test after the one I bought gave me a result?

Not sure what is 'normal' but it took me 2 months after stopping the mini pill to have a period...

I would just buy a cheapie test and see if there's a line, they're less than £3 and then you can stop wondering! The answer is yes of course you might be pregnant, but of course, you might not. Hope you get the result you want Smile

It can take a lot longer than that to have a period post the Pill and the symptoms can all be caused by your hormones rebalancing.

You could be pregnant, but the only thing that will tell you is a test.

I agree the only way to know is to test but it does sound like your body is readjusting to me.

It's definitely worth testing again but it took me 8 months to have a period after coming off the pill. Some people have them return straight away others take longer unfortunately.

Holdback - 8 months! really! I'm worried now. We have decided not to try until this time next year because of an important wedding I am in next year but it wouldn't be bad news if I were to fall pregnant iyswim.

I was kind of gutted when I saw the test result but I do know it is early days.

Yes 8 very long months! Every time I went to the GP they were adamant I must be pregnant so I had scans and blood tests every couple of weeks then they tried giving me norethisterone to give me a withdrawal bleed. Still didn't work. It did eventually come back on its own.

It'll come back my only advice (hard I know) would be to just try and relax and not get too stressed while you wait. Ttc can be horribly stressful for some, unfortunately it was for me, and I really wish I hadn't started the stress when my period didn't return when I thought it would.
