My periods are normally 28-30 days.
Last month my period was two weeks later than normal.
I was really really stressed out but this month it's back to 28 days.
I am wanting to try for a baby soon and not sure if this is a warning sign something is wrong.
Last month when I went to the doctors she said PCOS can cause late periods but this was the first time in over 10 years that had happened.
What do you think?

Being under a lot of stress can delay ovulation which would then in turn delay your period. Do you know when you ovulated?

This month according to the test it was around day 13-14

You just ovulated late on the cycle you were late. Changes to your life (stress, diet, weight) can delay ovulation which will delay af by the same number of days. Totally nbd.

It could be that you're body tried to ovulate, hence the positive test, but didn't quite manage to release an egg. You could have then ovulated a week or so later and that's why your period is late. If so it's totally normal and I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens frequently

As someone above has already said, stress can delay ovulation. I'm cycle tracking with Natural Cycles (not TTC though) and I had a cycle a few months back that was a week or two longer than usual. I was due to ovulate on normal timings around the time I was involved with organising a really big event. It's now meant that the app thinks I have an irregular cycle even though it's gone back to normal since then!

I did actually look into this at the time and found quite a few references to it online, including lots of people who'd panicked that they were pregnant. Makes me wonder how many pregnancy panics that people have would actually be avoided if women were more aware of what their ovulation was doing.
