Seven Seas Conception Vitamins

Hi, might be a bit of a long one, so I apologise for that. Had a MC in January and a couple of CPs in Feb/March, and ever since then I have had truly pathetic periods. I normally suffer with extremely heavy and painful periods (so much so that GP referred me for testing for endometriosis), so the recent months where I doubt very much whether I'd have filled one tampon over the entire 3/4 days are very unusual. Also my periods have contained NO fresh blood, instead consisting of brown mucous and brown clots. GP has been no help so on a whim, I purchased a packet of the above mentioned conception vitamins. Ever since I started taking them (2 weeks) I have been suffering with sweats, hot flashes, and generally feeling very off balance. I understand that the vitamin B6 complex in the tablets helps regulate hormone levels, so does this sound normal with regards to hormone levels being regulated? Or should I stop taking them and revisit my GP? I'm so confused! Confused

Hi I had a nasty experience with them at the start of the year. I began taking them in January and didn't have a period until the end of March, which was really unusual as they'd been regular ever since I started. Whilst reading up on them, I discovered that they're supposed to 'regulate' cycles, but many women had the same experience as me.
I'm not a doctor and can't be 100% certain that's what it was, but I won't touch them again. Check with your GP just in case.

Oh no! Thats awful! I'll stop taking them then... Is everything back to normal now?

I suppose it could be the B6, but the Seven Seas Trying for a Baby pills have no more than the daily recommended amount of vitamin B6 for adults, and it's the same amount as would be found in a typical multivitamin. For people attempting to relieve PMT or regulate their menstrual cycle using B6, a much higher dosage would be suggested -- something like 50 times as much as in the Seven Seas.

I've been taking the seven seas conception vits for a year now and had no issues. My fertility specialist also knows that I'm taking them and he approves. However, if you feel that they are making you ill then I'd ask your GP about it.

Eek! In case anyone's interested, my last period started on the 14th of July, which makes me CD20 today, we had sex on the 26th 27th and 28th and I have had weird spotting all day, could this be IB??
