Before I start I'm sorry to people who have been trying longer than I have and are still being patient. First time I've ever tried this and it's driving me nuts!

First off I'm 24 years old and been on contraceptives on and off since I was 17-18

Stopped taking pill on 25th May and had a withdrawal bleed almost immediately.

Had my first proper period after stopping the pill on 12/06 to 18/06

Currently on my period again which started on 9/07

When I took pregnancy tests in between my period they popped up negative so quickly!
It's the first time I've tried so I'm panicking thinking something is wrong... I know the stress does not help with conception

Currently taking seven seas preconception tablets too

Anyone offer some reassurance or similar stories?

Thank you

Your cycles may not settle into a regular pattern for up to a year after stopping bfp. It would not be uncommon to thrown in a couple anovulatory cycles (which you may have had due to the short cycle).

Each cycle there is only a max 20% chance of conceiving. Lower your hopes and expectations or this is going to feel longer and worse. Ttc sucks.

Awful to think it could be a whole year before anything happens :(

I've been ttc for 16 months... so over a year. It's shit.

That doesn't mean it will take you a year to get pregnant, just that cycles can be irregular coming off bcp even if not to ttc.

I'm sorry to hear that :(

I know I shouldn't be frustrated as it's so early but it's that initial feeling like something is wrong with me

I'm in the same boat as you having just come off the pill. Lots of people do get pregnant very quickly coming off it but there is nothing we can do except ride it out unfortunately. Initially I was coming off the pill to learn what was normal for my body etc but now I'm off it we are just like what the hell lets go for it now! Which makes it more stressful as if I knew we would be trying now I'd have come off the pill at like, Christmas.

Hopefully these boards will be littered with BFPs including ours in the very near future Flowers

Aww thank you

Same here I wish I never took this stupid pill

My doctor called me and he's booked me for an internal exam and a laproscopy to check for endometriosis because of the sevete pain I've been in

Your first lesson of parenthood. Patience.

Have regular fun sex and try to enjoy it, yes it's pants but you have to remember the outcome and it will all be worth it in the end. I'm on month 11, and I had a mmc in February but it passes so quickly that you almost relax into things. If TTC becomes that much of a stress point that you can't function then you really need to take a break and reassess (I'm not saying you're at that point yet)

Also cycles coming off the pill are hilarious. You will feel every pregnancy symptom going and probably have the most bonkers cycle lengths. So please please please try to be patient.
