Planning to ttc

I wasn't sure what section to post this in so I hope this is the right place.

DH and I want to start ttc again, we've been trying for around 3 years on and off (usually take a break for around 4 months a year as the lack of result starts taking a bit of a toll on my mh issues)

Firstly I wanted to know if anyone had any "top tips" for improving the likelihood of conceiving?

Also we already have a 5 year old DD and I'm fairly terrified about how a sibling would affect the quality of her life. DH is looking for another job to hopefully allow me to take a break if we were successful as financially things would be very stretched if we had to pay for nursery fees again. But was there anything else I should be thinking about? I'm a real planner and get very anxious about the unknown so I'm worried I may have overlooked something.

We do have plenty of room in the house for a baby, a lot of support from family in the area and have kept a lot of dds old baby stuff (cot, prom, changing table etc) so wouldn't need to buy any big items. Is there anything I'm missing?

Firstly, your username - have I got the right reference and you are the only person in the world who has seen skinned feel except me?

Secondly I am new to TTC, but I am reading Taking Control of Your Fertility and finding it so useful with hints and tips. I'm taking supplement to improve egg quality like co-enzyme q10, maca root and royal jelly. If we don't have any luck I might look into preseed coneception which a girl who just got her BFP on one of the other threads recommended.

Don't worry about your DD. Countless children have had younger siblings come along and while it is an adjustment, it works out fine!

I don't think you've missed anything, you sound all set.

Good luck!

Yes that is exactly the right reference! My friend made a group of us watch it so, presuming you weren't one of them, you're the only other person who has ever got that reference. (Hilariously bad isn't it?)

I'll have to have a look at that book and find out about the pressed thing. I will go and get some supplements tomorrow and see how that goes, I've only tried the "pregnacare conception" multivitamin before but it probably is quite weak in specific things so individuals might be a good way to go.

Thank you. Xxx
