Hi, I have had bleeding like a light period since I ovulated 5 days ago, my doctor has said not to worry as I probably released 2 eggs and bleeding is normal....at 39 this has never happened to me.
I've just had a blood test that confirmed I don't have polycsytic ovaries and am no where near menopause but I do have fibroids and possibly a couple of cysts.
Any advice would be great, I feel so alone as no one seems to understand.

Never heard of bleeding being a result of releasing 2 eggs. I wonder why?you do release multiple eggs more often as you get older though.

Probably just a one off. I wouldn't worry. are you ttc?

Out of curiosity how do you know how far from menopause you are? No one knows that I think. Blood tests can't tell you when you'll go into menopause. Only how many eggs you have left- it can't be correlated to having x years left until the menopause.

I've never heard of it either, my doctor said it was probably because I was taking a high dose of folic acid. Hopefully a one off as it has made me worry and stress this month.
I am ttc and am seeking help, so currently undergoing tests before I get referred for ivf.
I was told on my blood test my levels were at a fertile level and no where near what they would be if approaching menopause. This is all quite new to me and I don't know anyone that's gone through this, that's why I've posted on here. It's quite a scary and nervy process.
