IVF with no tubes

Hi,

I have had two eptopic pregnancies and had to have my tubes removed both times 😞. I just wanted to know of anyone has experienced the same and gone on to have successful IVF?

Thank you.

I didn't want to read and run. I've no idea on how that would work, but I wish you all the best.

Not having tubes shouldn't make any difference. Ivf gets around all of that. My tubes are both blocked. I had 3 rounds of ivf.
The 3rd was successful. but ended at 13 weeks

No personal experience but IVF sounds like the perfect treatment for you. The fertilisation is done outside the body. The embryo will be put back into the uterus so that it can hopefully implant there. A good website for some support and to read other's diaries is fertilityfriends.

PS It might want to post in Infertility.

I don't but a friend of mine had exactly this problem and went on to have a successful ivf pregnancy. It was great for her because she was desperate for a baby but her body obviously wasn't playing ball and the ivf makes sure it implants in the right place.

I'm no expert, but wasn't this one of the reasons IVF was invented? To bypass the issue of poor/no tubes?

If I were you, I'd post in the 'Infertility' section as there will be plenty of much more knowledgeable people on there. Good luck!

Very reassuring to know. I have faith that it will happen as long as it's in the right place. I was told that some clinics actually prefer the tubes to be gone if they are problematic so hears hoping. It is also really good to get points of view from other women as sometime I'm not sure my partner understands the emotions fully. Again thank you for responding.

I had IVF due to extremely low fertility and because I’d lost an ovary to an ectopic pregnancy and didn’t want to risk the other one. It worked first time for DS and 3rd time for DD. It was stressful at the time, but feels like nothing now, the end result was so worth it. Good luck DS01, I hope it works out for you Flowers
