It does sound promising Limp. Keep taking it easy, so long as the spotting stays as just spotting then it looks positive. Good luck :)

Good weekend Mctufty?!

McTufty · 16/07/2017 19:55

linzlinz where are you up to? Good to see you back!

cheryl lovely weekend thanks! We have managed to put ourselves in the game for this month Smile. We were in the Cotswolds which I absolutely love.

Forgot to take my thermometer with us so no temp this morning. No idea if I have ovulated but did have the surge so just got to hope for the best and hope that my luteal phase is a bit longer this time... bit nervous now. Not about being pregnant (which I'm not expecting) but a more typical cycle length.

So no idea how many days DPO I am or when AF would be due or any of that stuff so just going to try to forget it for a week and hope AF doesn't come in the meantime!!

McTufty · 16/07/2017 21:34

Just found a load of EWCM Sad. I read that EWCM after you 'ovulate' can mean anovulatory as your body still trying to ovulate. Bit down.

Cherylttcagain · 16/07/2017 22:11

are you sure it's ewcm, apparently your fellas fluids can be mistaken for ewcm. I thought I had ewcm well after ovulation but Id dtd the night before and it wasnt quite as stretchy but very similar

McTufty · 16/07/2017 22:21

Yeah, i did the putting it in water test and definitely EWCM. This plus my no thermal rise makes me think anovulatory but nothing I can do so trying to forget about it. It may be I'm taking my temps wrong, who knows.

McTufty · 16/07/2017 22:40

I just did a experiment. I took my bbt twice in a row immediately after each other, once with it shoved further under my tongue. Nearly a degree difference. So either my thermometer is dodgy or it's quite an inaccurate process!

Cherylttcagain · 17/07/2017 06:40

oh, thats interesting, and very annoying!!! Everything is such a guessing game, inc temping!
I think I'd send myself crazy if I starting temping as well as opks. Way too many what ifs.

Did you decide to keep dtd when you found that extra ewcm?

McTufty · 17/07/2017 10:40

Yeah we've DTD this weekend so covered! I've bought a new thermometer to see if that improves things, if not I might ditch the temping. Apparently the different temperature moments apart might be a problem with he thermometer and others have had this problem with it. They are very erratic and even FF has said they veer outside normal limits.

Maybe I'm kidding myself blaming the technology but I'll give it a go!

limp any news?

LimpLettice · 17/07/2017 12:04

Hi ladies. Big important meeting this morning, and am assuming m/c underway so I rang epu to cancel. They said because of yesterday's positive they'd still like to see me so rescheduled for tomorrow just to rule out anything sinister.

Bit of watery red today and heaviness in uterus, so pretty certain it's all over bar the shouting. In all honesty I'm feeling pretty fucking low today. Trying to stay upbeat, friend telling me at least I can conceive not helping. DP gone off to London this morning, DD has a busy last week of school, and I just wanna go to bed 😰

Cherylttcagain · 17/07/2017 17:54

Oh Limp, wish I could give you a huge hug. I'm so sorry this is happening to you.

Do you think you're in the tww now Mctufty?

McTufty · 17/07/2017 19:49

limp seconded. I am sorry your friend was so insensitive. Good luck tomorrow - let us know.

cheryl you're testing Sunday right? How have you got on avoiding symptom spotting and testing early?

I don't know if I'm in 2ww or what has happened. Don't know if I ovulated or not and if so when. And I have had a lot of pelvic pain (bilateral, so I'm panicking its endometriosis or something) and now I am bloated and having what feel a lot like AF cramps so I am scared that last month is happening again and I'm pretty bloody depressed about it Sad

Cherylttcagain · 18/07/2017 06:41

I hope AF doesn't turn up for you mctufty, when is it due?

I'm sure I'll crack and test before but my main test will be sunday. I haven't really had any symptoms to spot, nothing like last cycle. The only thing that made me slightly hopeful was that for the last couple of days I've had like a glob of thick kinda snotty mucus... which reminded me of the mucus plug from my previous kids. So, I goggled that a few times and convinced myself to forget about it!! Gah! I've nearly stayed sane this time!

LimpLettice · 18/07/2017 07:26

Morning.

Keeping everything crossed and stays away McTufty. Hope you're feeling ok.

Cheryl step away from google!

Well. I'll ring epu in a bit but rough night here. Bleeding started properly last night, along with nasty cramps. Heavy enough for several pads in the night. So that's definitely that. Few (rivers) tears last night when I told my lovely mum. CP but feels like a full on m/c to me, so I'll allow myself to grieve a bit.

Trying to keep the notion that this doesn't mean all my eggs are elderly and rubbish but it's a scary thought. Prone to catastrophising anyway. I may give ttc a rest for a while as my heart is a bit sore. See how I feel.

McTufty · 18/07/2017 07:52

cheryl well done holding out! Could be a mucus plug but to be honest my friend got her BFP in her month where her only symptom was having no symptoms! So don't worry either way, you're totally in the game Smile

limp I'm so sorry, and there's no reason to feel like this is somehow less upsetting or worthy of being sad about than a full on m/c because you celebrated your pregnancy so why should you feel less entitled to grieve? Take all the time you need. I hope all goes well with your appointment.

And yes, it could be a good sign about your future chances of conceiving as it does show your eggs are still capable of being fertilised but that's for another day - for now just take care Flowers

No idea when AF would be due, but around lunchtime today based on last month so fingers crossed. I did have a temp raise this morning but probably just the dodgy thermometer again. Thankfully work is crazy busy this week so keeping my mind off it but I'm still getting really sharp pelvic pains.

Cherylttcagain · 18/07/2017 08:27

I'm glad you're allowing yourself to grieve Limp. Your eggs are fine, look what they managed to do this month! It will happen again for you but it'll be sticky.

Oh my gosh.... so glad you're busy today mctufty, AF due date is horrible!

I'm feeling fairly calm. I had zero symptoms with my 2 boys so I'm really not worried that I haven't felt anything other than normal.

EWCM... are you in/around fertile window yet?

McTufty · 18/07/2017 22:39

Glad you're calm about it cheryl, best way to be if you can manage it!

Well I'm off to bed and no AF yet, though still having worrying AF style cramps. However it seems I've attained a longer luteal phase than last cycle so yippee!

Caveat: I don't know when I ovulated but if you take it from first positive OPK then I should have had AF lunch time today, and I haven't. So this month I have at least a 4 day luteal phase, just another 8 days to extend it by and I might start being fertile!!!

Cherylttcagain · 19/07/2017 17:47

Everything going well mctufty?

How is everyone else?

McTufty · 19/07/2017 18:03

Hi Cheryl, no AF yet, just lots of tacky CM for some reason but I'm very bloated and crampy! How are you getting on?

Cherylttcagain · 19/07/2017 18:24

I'm good thanks!

I caved and took a cheapo pick dye test today. After 20mins saw a faint second line (supposed to read it between 5 and 10mins)... instructions say if that happens to test again in 2 days. Kinda wish I hadn't tested now cos I'm all "what if".

Woohoo to no AF for you!

McTufty · 19/07/2017 20:38

OMG Cheryl that's so exciting! You don't really get evaps as much on pink tests... fingers crossed!

LimpLettice · 19/07/2017 20:48

I'll keep it all crossed Cheryl.

Rough few days here. Been a messy and painful af, an awful lot of blood finally slowing down. DP has sacked off work for the rest of the week. I think he needs to be here as much as I need him here. Head a bit messy still but the tearfulness has receded along with the hormones. Hcg gone now, so I'm ready to try again physically. I think.

Cherylttcagain · 19/07/2017 22:16

So nice to hear from you Limp, thats wonderful that your partner is with you. I can't imagine what it's been like for you but I've veen thinking about you, hoping you're ok (or getting there).

Well yes, I thought that with the pink dye tests to... still.. trying not to get my hopes up too much :/

MissyEm · 19/07/2017 22:25

Hi everyone, quick question is the ovavulation day the same day as when you receive a peak response on the clear blue dual hormone test. Just want to update my Ovia app Grin

Cherylttcagain · 20/07/2017 06:35

No, you will ovulate between 12 and 48hrs after your peak. The peak is just telling you that you've had a LH surge, not that you've ovulated.
So once you get that surge you should be having lots of sex for the next three days.

MissyEm · 20/07/2017 07:10

Ok, thank you @cherylttcagain. So there is no way to know what day we actually ovulate? Need to get busy then Blush
