Dancing and grumpy sending you both so much love. There are no words really I know :(

Dancing massive hug.. I am so overcome with guilt.. for the complacency I had in my pregnancy.. my "pregnant not ill" arrogance..thinking it would be all easy as I'd done it before. My blasé attitude to a glass of wine. Guilt for all the times I laughed at pregnant friends for their paranoia about cheese.. guilt for caring so much about work timing, I could go on. I'd give anything to have my baby back.

I really hope hb is ok.

grumpy you can't torture yourself with guilt. You did nothing wrong. Having a relaxed attitude was a good thing and not complacency xx

Hey girls!

Sorry for the delay! Had to pop tonthe shops after the hospital & then dropped in a photo at both sets of grandparents and then was hangry so needed dinner urgently!!

Anyway, here's baby hb! S/he was straight up chillin' just like their father 😎!! It was asleep for the first bit so had to go for a wee to shake it up a bit & that really pissed it off, didn't appreciate being woken up!! (One of my traits!!) It totally didn't play ball with the screening measurements despite me having to do some rocking & coughing to coax it into other positions!! Will have a blood test at 14/15 weeks instead! Very relieved. DH was blubbing away next to me😂

Some lovely bumps!! Nothing here this end yet but I'm tall so there's lots of space!

So sorry you're having a sad moment Grumpy, hopefully the weekend will be a welcome distraction to look forward to ❤️

Ahhhh Hb I'm welling up here for you. What a little lovely S/he is... I'm so happy for you both. The scan picture is fab too, what a clear profile shot too. So wonderful.. Oh and looks like a theme with our babies not playing ball for the NT measurement (ditto on the 14/15 week blood test). So wonderful x

Really sorry to all those who had bad news/didn't make the scan... really aware that as we're such a diverse group, in all sorts of situations, that hearing news like this is bound to make some feel raw or emotional... we will all have our babies in our arms in the end ❤️

Grumpy and Dancing sorry to hear you're both having a tough day too - I've turned to the gin and tonic.

The GPs were indeed excited JP we'd announced already but seeing a photo is next level. It's MIL's first grandchild and she was very impressed with the scan quality Vs back in her day!

It's so bizarre how up and down all of this is. I was fine yesterday. Today, I have so much anger and grief. If the grief over spills, I can cope with that. But the anger is a whole different issue. Anyway. Sorry.

Totally agree about the ladies who didn't make it or had bad news... i remember when our mother hen Parsnips started this thread and we agreed we would not stop until everyone had their little ones in their arms!... we can do this as a group... we all laugh, cry, have joy and grieve together but honestly this is the best and most supportive online Family ever! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes we're all going to meet in grumpys house in Italy with our bubbas drinking prosecco and loving life ❤️

grumpy and dancing I'm so sorry you've both had to go through this, it's all so incredibly emotionally taxing and I'm in awe of how strong you both have been. It's so unfair, it really is and there's no manual and things are bound to be up and down and all you can do is take each day and each emotion as it comes, we are all here, for the downs as much as the ups xx

It is a tough journey at times. I don't know of anyone who hasn't had some kind of loss on their journey.

A close friend tried for two years, and described it as her own personal hell. Another friend lost her husband when their DD was 2 and she's distraught years later, that precious second baby not even a possibility. I've a couple of friends, we're late 30s, who have never met anyone special so no dreams/hope of much longed for babies.

I also know some wonderful, heartwarming and more positive stories!

It's just not talked about much, and so we feel alone. Though not on this thread! Which, as said above, will keep going til we all have our babies in our arms! And I know we all will. With thoughts to those who were very loved and lost along the way.

So agree with confused!! What a great bunch of people, such a brilliant thread, so supportive. So nice we can share all the good times as well as the bad.

Loving the bump pics!! And the scan pics too- congrats hb and biker- the pictures look great!! So exciting for you I bet it's becoming a bit more real for you now!!

Sorry to hear some of you are having a bit of a rubbish time of it, take all the time you need but just know that it will get better and all of our times will come xxxx
