Question about 21 day cycle

First of all, I'm notoriously impatient during 2ww which I appreciate doesn't really help.

After having my last ds, I went from a 28 to a 21 day cycle. Currently TTC and I'm 2 days late & "feel pregnant " although this could obviously just ne wishful thinking really. However, I've done some first response tests and they've shown up negative.

Obviously the most likely scenario is that I'm not pregnant but could it also be because I'd technically only be 3 weeks pregnant as opposed to 4 when most people test? Any other reasons?

I'm not sure what I'm asking really I think I'm just after a bit of hope that I could actually be pregnant despite the negative test!

Hey

If you have a 21 day cycle then it's likely means that you ovulate particularly early so when your period is due you wouldn't be 3 weeks pregnant. You would always be almost four week pregnant.

I ovulate CD15 and AF normally comes CD28 so I have like 12 day luteal phase. Most people is 12-24 days after they ovulate.

Your cycle is most likely ovulate CD9ish and so then 12/13 luteal phase giving you AF on CD21. Your at the same point in your cycle as the cycle described above. It's only ovulation that changes.

It could be possible that you ovulated later though an therefore you cycle will be longer. Do you check for ovulation with OPKs? Have you been checked for your cycle? 21 seems particularly short. Think NHS suggests it should be 25 length ideally
