Just curious as to how difficult it might be...

Any experiences to share?

Hi gingergnome

We had been trying for 10 months when I went for tests (I told the gp it was 12) I was only 34 at that point and he did day 21 bloods straight away, they came back normal and he referred me to a fertility clinic at that point. The week before my appt with the gynae doctor I had a positive test which sadly turned negative 4 days later and then I got my period so it was a chemical Sad gave us hope that at least we could get preg.

Both of us had all the tests and scans etc and both clear and healthy and my AMH level really good. The chemical was September and were still waiting Sad

After all the tests are clear they said all they could offer was 6 months of femara - I'm on the second month of those.

We are going to look at ivf if this doesn't work, probably egg sharing because we just can't afford full price ivf.

Good luck!

It took me 5 months to conceive my first at age 34. I've just conceived again age 36 on our second month of trying.

Conceived DC1 at 35 after a long time trying and had straight forward pregnancy. Second pregnancy conceived on 3rd cycle at 39 (which ended v badly Sad) at 39. Debating whether run the gauntlet again...
