I have been trying to conceive for the last 18 months and have had one miscarriage. I usually have a lot of EWCM and a little pain but this month I have had terrible pain on my left side and hardly any EWCM.
We have BD'd every day of the cycle- (newly married)- which is unusal for us but we thought what the heck- could this have affected my EWCM or do you think I have missed it because of the other stuff TMI.. please help???

A lot of bedroom action could mask EWCM - painful ov sounds actually pretty good news to me.
A mate of mine gets this every month so she clearly knows when she is oving - and has got pg both times she's targetted it.

It took me a year to conceive with a miscarriage on the way. I always had ovulation pain and EWCM until the month I conceived when there was no EWCM at all and ovulation was cripplingly painful. I thought I wasn't ovulating that month (as sometimes happens- an 'anovulatory cycle') and my body was still getting over the miscarriage so wrote the month off. Lo and behold I relaxed and conceived that month! 30 weeks down, 10 to go...

Good luck to you!

thats fab news- I was so worried but usually I chart but we decided not to bother anymore because it consuming me and my DH so went at BD'ing hammer and tongs...! Sorry to be graphically but the ovulation pains were soooooo intense that it felt like my left ovray was popping out me and during the bd'ing that night I was in agony but still perserved obviously!

Good luck! Keep us posted on about 2 weeks!

Aah yes, like somebody was hooking it with a crochet needle and trying to pull it out? Horrible pain.

Hope you have the same luck we did!

This is going to sound bonkers... but I wish I had that pain.... I didn't even on clomid!

I would have to say that deep pain during sex can be indicative of endometriosis.

If you continue to have such pains during sex I would get this checked out medically by a gynaecologist.

Hi Attila- it was only the other night I had that pain when I was ov I think- I'm worrying now !! I'll have to google it and see if I have any further symptoms!!!

bluebell82 · 08/03/2007 13:32

I am worried about this pain though- I have had a look on a bupa fact sheet and it sounds pretty gruesome... does any one esle suffer from it??

endometriosis. I meant to put...

I have endometriosis, it took a long time to get myself diagnosed with this. I had extremely painful periods (this is one of its main symptoms)

I only mentioned this as a possibility because of the pain you felt during intercourse. I would get it checked out by a gynae particularly if you continue to get pain during intercourse.

bluebell82 · 08/03/2007 13:51

Thanks Attila- you don't have the same doctors as me do you- he is called dr.useless!

Hope you don't mind me asking but what treatment did you have? I had the most painful periods , really heavily and crippling for the first four hours of my af- until two months ago.. I have been going to reflexology and touch wood I have not had any pain in my last two af's... might be worth considering x

Hi bluebell82,

I ended up having surgery on my endometriosis to have it lasered out. It was quite extensive.

Smiled at your Dr Useless reference!. I had a GP once say to me that endo is not common - soon put him right by advising him that endo is the second most common gynae problem seen in women after fibroids.

Hope the reflexology brings you some relief longer term too.

bluebell82 · 08/03/2007 16:36

thanks attila- good luck to you- hopefully the pain in ovary area is a baby miracle- and not the endo, but thanks for the advsie I am definitely going to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse I'll go to the doctor... usually uncontrollable crying coherses my doctor!

right- me again- I still have a bubbling feeling in my lower stomach. Very strange- quite twingey- is this a sign that maybe I've developed some kind of condition- I am worrying!!!

Hey hun... unless you have and (TMI alert) wiffy discoloured discharges at the mo I think a GP would say let's wait 'til the end of you cycle before investigating further.

Try to think positive.... it may be good news
