Seven Seas trying for a baby

Hi all
Today is CD 31 of a (usually) 28-day cycle, and this is the end of cycle 9 of TTC. I'm lucky that my cycles have always been regular, so I'm assuming that I'm ovulating each month. Maybe wrongly assuming - I don't know. This month, I've stated taking Seven Seas trying for a baby pills, after my best friend couldn't sing their praises enough. A while ago, I did see a post on here debating their success. One poster mentioned that taking these made their cycles longer. I've tried looking online to reviews but no to avail. So basically, I'd just like to know some of your stories/experiences of taking these, if they work, etc.
To make it easier, I just want to add that both DH and I are healthy (that we know) and I'm 27 so my age really isn't a factor. Oh, and I had a BFN this afternoon.

We made sure we dtd at least every other day (the fun bit!.) I didn't go to the toilet after the deed, just to ahem keep everything in (the not fun bit).

Sometimes we used a pillow under the hips during and after, but it's hard to tell if it worked since we only did it on and off

Partner took zinc and vitamin c, I took seven seas trying for baby :) good luck! Lots of new year resolution babies! Flowers

We are trying all of that so far except DTD every other day - almost achieved but not quite! This month I'm trying to relax a little but it's really not easy at all

ethelfleda · 06/03/2017 07:15

I drank raspberry leaf tea every day from 1st day of cycle to ovulation. Also took evening primrose oil and drank grapefruit juice (again up to O) and used conceive plus applicators. We DTD pretty much every day over fertile period as well. Good luck!! x

Sshsecretenclosed · 06/03/2017 19:35

Eughhhhh grapefruit juice!!! On reflection, maybe I'm not as committed to the cause as I should be!

ethelfleda · 07/03/2017 07:06

Lol, it's supposed to help with ewcm and I wouldn't have drank it if I didn't like it either Smile

The more I read about this, the more it clear they are doing good things to your cycle! Such as lengthening luteul phase.

NaturWilde · 24/03/2017 04:48

Been taking these for 2 months in preparation to TTC. Cycles spot on.

First try...just got my BFP!

NaturWilde · 24/03/2017 04:49

Am 38 so wasn't expecting this!

Hi, I m 22 days late. Taking seven seas trying for a baby for the past 3 months. Took 3 pregnancy test all came negative.

TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 03/05/2017 22:53

I ditched them after a month (even though I bought 3 months worth) as my usually regular as clockwork period was very late. I started taking them in January and didn't have a period for the whole of February and into March. Started taking just folic acid and vit d and although my cycle is now much better, it's still not set exactly as per ovia which it always once was. I don't plan on starting to ttc until the end of the month but wanted to make sure I had 3 months of healthy preparation

Autumn0909 · 07/05/2017 11:14

I ditched mine just after writing the first post. Today is CD2 of my second AF since I took them at the start of the year, almost FIVE months ago. After a year of TTC, I never thought I'd be glad to see AF but I'm so relieved. I thought I'd messed up completely. I'm glad it's worked for some, but I'd stay well away, ladies.

Hi, I am 17 years old and I know I'm quite young but about 1 year ago I got told I have PCOS which made me and my partner (of 2 years) start to really think about whether or not we could have our own children or not. A few months ago we started talking about trying for a baby now, because I'm quite young and it may be a bit easier for us. We saw seven seas trying for a baby and we have been reading up about them for about 1 week. Is it a good idea to take these to try or not? I would really like some help before buying them!! Thankyou!

Hi

I've been taking these for a week. TTC #1 for 4 months but 35 so had a blood test. Turned into 3 blood tests and turns out iron is an issue!! Thought I'd take seven seas as it's 100% iron requirements. Only side effect is constipation but wondered if we had been successful this month as had a few symptoms.

Cring · 17/08/2017 15:57

Interesting. My usually 33 day cycles went to 36 and now 40 days and counting. Have also been taking seven seas. My ovulation has been really delayed. May switch to another brand.

DoAsDreamersDo · 17/08/2017 19:16

I've been taking Seven Seas since just before I came off the pill and each month my cycle has been getting longer. After reading this thread I took my last tablet on Monday (day 33 of my cycle), AF arrived on Tuesday (I'm sure that was a coincidence!) and so I have decided to stop taking it and just stick to folic acid supplements for now and see how I go

Autumn0909 · 17/08/2017 21:16

That's exactly why I stopped taking them - my cycles were getting ridiculously long. I don't know too much about other brands to try, though.

Month one of ttc and started taking seven seas this week too...... May just finish the pack and then switch. Bit worrying though that they have these side effects?!

sarahhh1984 · 13/09/2017 21:28

Know this thread hasn't been active for a while but thought I'd chime in with a positive Seven Seas experience

I started taking it last June on the day after I took my last contraceptive pill. A few days later, I had my withdrawal bleed and once that finished, DH and I began DTD every other day. After 28 days I got my AF and another 28 days later I got my BFP. That BFP is now sleeping in her cot upstairs! Grin

I was told the Seven Seas is good for regulating your cycle so in cases where it makes your cycle longer, this could just be getting you to a norm. However, the same things don't work for everybody and if you're getting a lot of those nutrients in high doses through your diet, you could be getting too much of something which is making your cycle too long.

But it worked for me and I'll certainly be taking it again when we decide to try for DC2.

As a side note, the month we conceived, my DH was taking Wellman Conception as well. It's not just down to us ladies to give our reproductive systems a boost! Smile
