Thanks ladies! got my bloods taken on Friday and have another GP appointment to discuss the results and next step this coming friday so will let you all know how that goes.

Seven i think some spotting inbetween periods can be normal, id keep an eye on it though just to see how regular it is.

Supper yeah I Was surprised when my GP said about ovulating and not having a period. I dont know how often that would happen though.

Welcome everyone just joinging :) xx

MrsGB2225 · 20/02/2017 06:15

tentative - i was on Yasmin (but pretty rubbish at taking it) when I got pregnant first time. Because I got pregnant so easily before, we naively thought it would be the same this time round Blush

Seven0fNine · 20/02/2017 10:18

Thanks Kitty. Keep up posted x

Hey realised I never replied seven sorry! I can off pill at end September and although I did have periods after they were irregular (25-34 days). I realised I also had stopped exercising so much in the last couple of months purplekitty so don't know if that also made the difference?? Also used pre-seed for the first time. Oh and took B vitamin complex.

Thinking of all of you, it is tough not knowing what body is doing post-pill I was ready to go to GP but thankfully didn't have to.

Waiting for 12 week scan, feels like so long away and hoping it's not a phantom pregnancy!

PNGirl · 20/02/2017 15:15

After the weird 2 days of spotting I got my period on Friday night. Looks like I'll be going back to my 35 day cycles that I vaguely remember from when I was 17! At least I know where I am now.

KittyKat73 · 24/02/2017 10:55

Hey Ladies!

Had My follow up GP appointment today. (mini background stopped the pill in June after being on it for 11 years had about 5 long cycles with each cycle getting shorter then last period was 1st Decemeber and NOTHING ever since!)

Soooo all my blood results came back absolutely normal my oestrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH thyroid etc every one of them absolutely normal.

So my GP said the shortening cycles are normal and to be expected after stopping the pill but this big gap since december is pretty unusual but can happen with being on the pill for so long and my body adjusting. She was very nice and said there isnt much more they can do just now but if i have anymore unusual symptoms to come back and i have the choice to come back in June to request a referral to the fertility clinic.

Now for my dilemma....... As i haven't had my period since 1st dec. she did offer me Provera to help get everything kick started. She did stress that it would induce a bleed that wouldn't be an actual period and whether i choose to take the provera or not is up to me but basically if i choose to take it or not wont change my chances of getting pregnant sooner. She said right now if i don't take it my biggest issue is not knowing when i ovulate. if i do take it i will have the same issue as its not a real period and i would need to wait for another cycle. I dont really know what to do half of me REALLY doesnt want to pump myself with more hormones incase it sets me back but the other half is thinking maybe i need this jump start to get my cycles more organized.

Any adivce or suggestions would be really appreciated I have the prescription but GP said it would be my choice if i want to get the Provera and take it or leave it and wait it out for a period ( or get pregnant)

Supper16 · 25/02/2017 08:51

Hi Kitty, I can't help you there being only at the v start of my post-pill journey. I notice you got some very informed replies on the PCOS thread though, so I hope they help you make a decision. As annoying as it must be not to have an answer to focus on for ttc, it's good that your results have come back normal for your overall longterm health so take heart in that.

CD60 here and I'm noticing an increase in wet CM but not much else. I'm very stressed and anxious at work at the mo so will be v surprised if I ovulate any time soon Sad

Hope everyone else is doing ok Flowers

KittyKat73 · 25/02/2017 18:29

Supper thanks yeah the ladies on that thread were brilliant i left my GP thinking omg no way am i taking that but after hearing from people that have taken it i definitely feel alot calmer about it all and as you said im definately thankful the bloods havent showed any potential long term issues. Hope you dont get too stressed at work Supper Flowers

After discussing it all with my partner I have decided to take the provera and will go to pharmacy tomorrow. CD85 so i think thats long enough to go without AF since my last cycle was 32days!

Hope everyone is doing ok out there!

Shoney85 · 26/02/2017 17:34

Congratulations lovechild on the bfp!!

Resident preggo here, at 30+1, willing the weeks on, ready to have our baby!

Thinking of BoBo, hope she is ok

Lovechild2016 · 26/02/2017 17:50

Thanks shoney that is so exciting you are 30 weeks! Bet you can't wait. I am really not enjoying the morning sickness or should I say never ending all consuming nausea day and night. I know I should be grateful but I can't see past the next few weeks at the moment.

kittykat glad all bloods came back normal reassuring. Hoping the provera gives you a kick start and gets that BFP for you. Xx

Shoney85 · 26/02/2017 18:05

I know how you feel, I had constant nausea up till 10/11 weeks then the proper sickness started and I was bad with both till about 18 weeks. Only thing that helped the nausea was eating for me. I the sickness really bad at night, rarely kept my tea down! Fingers crossed it goes soon!

Really can't wait to see baby here, body starting to feel the effects and fatigue is definitely creeping back in. Not long now though

MrsGB2225 · 27/02/2017 12:06

Hi everyone,

That's great your bloods are all good kitty, how's it going with provera?

I stopped the progesterone only pill at the start of Jan and got my first period 14th Feb, but then I got EWCM the 24th Feb. So I'm really confused if I ovulated then or not. It took me by surprise and we hadn't DTD for a few days so I'm a bit gutted if we missed a chance.

I hope you've been able to relax a bit at the weekend supper.

KittyKat73 · 27/02/2017 15:16

Thank you Lovechild Congratulations to you too! :)

MrsGB the pharmacy didnt have any so need to go back tomorrow to pick it up. Think once iv taken the course AF should be here between 2 and 10 days. Hopefully you havent missed ovulation yet :)

Tentativesteps133 · 01/03/2017 11:01

Hi everyone

Just thought I'd update you - still waiting for my referral letter for ultrasound to confirm PCOS or not. In the meantime I read that a supplement called Myo inositol can help to lower LH levels so I started taking it on Sunday and lo and behold today, 134 days after my withdrawal bleed, AF has arrived! No idea if it's just coincidence but I'm going to keep taking it to hopefully regulate things. So happy I can at least start charting etc now to have some idea whether I'm ovulating or not.

Lolly34h · 03/03/2017 15:04

Im new. Been following the thread thougg for a few weeks. Stopped taking cerelle 28th of December 2016. Didn't have af until the 2 Feb. Thought my cycle had returned to normal but i should have had af on the 2 March but nothing yet. And a bfn! So frustrated.

CatMum87 · 13/03/2017 11:54

Hi ladies....looks like it's been pretty quiet on here recently! How is everyone doing?! I'm on cd18 waiting for ov. Still going with the accupucture and have been back to to doctors for bloods which all came back fine. Just gotta keep positive! X

Supper16 · 14/03/2017 07:26

I am CD 77 here :( So boring. How often do people test in this situation? I haven't tested in a month. I know a bfp is highly unlikely (frankly I don't think I've had enough sex) and don't really wanna see a white negative. Think I'll wait till end of March to test to be on the safe side.

Tentative great news that you got AF! Hopefully your next cycle will be normal. Both Agnus Castus and Myo Inositol scare me, think I'll wait till end of April before taking anything other than my Vit B Complex and folic acid.

Have pretty much eliminated caffiene. Cutting down on meat and got an alcohol tracker on my phone (20 units last week whoops). Stress is managable.

Hope everyone else is ok!!

littleemma1 · 03/04/2017 14:53

Jumping back in on this one guys...
so my first two cycles off the pill, AF arrived after 47 days and then 35 days.
Now on CD 39 and no sign of period after OV on what I think was CD24.
Still getting my head around this tracking stuff.
Now I need your opinion (please don't jump at me judging), we are currently using the controversial and probably not the most reliable "pull out" method. So far he's been spot on good at pulling out on time, so seriously, what are the actual chances of me being pregnant? I actually desperately want to be even though I know we have other things in the pipeline so it wouldn't be ideal but we have discussed the possibility of an "accident" and have decided we'd both be happy, ecstatic even, if it happened.
I'm actually holding off testing because if it's positive I'll be upset, even though I technically have no reason to be as "technically we're not TTC"
Advice please, or just words of wisdom, or anything please. Xx

littleemma1 · 03/04/2017 16:34

I meant if it's negative I'll be upset! Silly me Confused xxx

sarahhh1984 · 10/04/2017 19:40

Resident preggo here at 38+1! Some of you I know, some I don't... How are you all? I've been lurking and checking in occasionally but thought I'd say hi while I wait for this little one to decide he or she is ready to make an appearance. Smile

Shoney85 · 11/04/2017 08:45

I always check in to with you guys, hope you are all well and you get your BFP soon!!!

Resident preggo here too , currently 36+3 so not long to go at all.

Lovechild2016 · 11/04/2017 09:32

Likewise ladies 13+1 and starting to feel better. Lovely 12 week scan last week which has made it feel all the more real. So exciting sarah and shoney you are almost there! Does it feel like it's gone quick?

littleemma if a BFN will make you sad then I'd just wait and see if AF arrives. But likewise if you really want an answer the only way is to test! Pulling out is no way a guaranteed method but so many women find it hard to conceive despite doing everything in their power so who knows!! I would say there is definitely a chance you could be pregnant. Good luck!

How is everyone else getting on?

littleemma1 · 17/04/2017 00:45

Hi all, just an update. On CD 52 now with no AF.
Since coming off pill in December 2016 I had my usual withdrawal bleed and then 2 cycles since then, 1st was 6 weeks long and 2nd was 5 weeks long.
I'm now 16 days late for my projected AF based on ovulation, have had negative urine and blood pregnancy tests from GP now so I'm being sent for an ultrasound (were technically not using protection as using the withdrawal method hence the tests)
I have bad bad cramp pains like period pains both in my lower abdomen and back but no other sign of AF. Really hope there's no serious underlying issue when I go for the scan as will be starting to officially TTC soon. What are your stories please? xxx

sarahhh1984 · 30/05/2017 16:17

So, I was a resident preggo, but now I'm a graduate! My little girl, Iris, was born six weeks ago on Easter Sunday!

Congratulations to those of you who've recently got your BFPs. You have an amazing adventure ahead of you. To those still trying, I have my fingers crossed that you get those BFPs soon! x
