Confused about ovulation

Hi, these tests were taken on CD 15 of my current cycle and CD 15 of my last cycle why are they completely different? My cycle is very regular, always between 28 and 31 days. We've been trying to conceive for 8 months with no luck. I've had a CD 21 blood test which came back normal but with slightly raised androgens. My progesterone level was28 which my doctor said was fine but reading around it seems low. Can anyone help? Thanks!

You will likely ovulate only once. You can get a positive test and then not ovulate. It only shows a surge in the hormones required for ov, not that you actually will. This means ov is most likely after you last surge of the cycle.

The only way to confirm you have ovulated is by tracking bbt... which tells you a few days after that you have ovulated.

Some women recently off hormonal bc will get multiple positives as their body gears up to ovulate because they haven't ovulated while on bc so the ovaries are 'sleepy' for lack of a better term...

Ah right ok that makes sense, so it's not a bad thing as such it's just my ovaries are still waking up but hopefully I will be ovulating at some point?! I'll just keep doing the baby dance while ive got positives and keep my fingers crossed!! Ive taken one this morning and the test line was way darker than the control line and darker than before so maybe this time it did actually get released! Maybe I will start chatting my bit, I always though the tests were more reliable!
Thanks physicskate!!!
