Thread 25. TTC #1 - February Fertility Fighters on the FRONTLINE

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

alexia thanks for your insight. My pre o temps tend to be around 36.2 -36.25 with the odd erratic temp here and there (it seems to take a while to settle after af). I am inclined to think that ovulation may have been yesterday though with the clear sharp increase in temp but who knows?! My body is a strange thing at times!

My best friend had her second baby at just after midnight today. She now has 2 children with less than a year between them. I'm going to have to go and see her at the weekend and I'm worried about how I'm going to react to holding baby. I can cope with babies in work.

Harriet when did your gp last test your thyroid function? I believe tsh should be between 1-2 when ttc.

Wow pug 2 babies in a year! What's the gap?!

Last tested fairly recently (November?) and tsh was 0.98 with good T3&T4 (can't remember the numbers) so pretty much bang on.

I know symptom spotting is very dangerous but I've had cramping and nausea all afternoon...

Hi murphy sorry to hear you have gone through mc 3 times . If your not feeling the baby shower then I would let your friends know. They should be understanding in your situation. You can still be excited and spend time with your friend in a more 1 on 1 basis that's less overwhelming baby in your face way.

I cannot inagine how you have been able to handle 3 MCs. I understand the pressure of trying to fit treatment around work trips. I say screw them! BTW my view is anything that might upset you that you can avoid you should. Time to focus on yourself.

Oh ladies I crumbled this morning and tested (10 DPO), BFN of course. Despite trying several rooms for different lighting, taking photos with flash off AND flash on and staring so hard my eyeballs must have been in danger of popping out of my head, I couldn't conjure even the faintest smidge of a line Had to chuck the test in the bin and delete the photos to try and retain some sanity!! Will test again Sun as I originally planned on doing.

I must start coming on more often, this thread moves so fast!!

I have sadly retired all my beauty products containing Salcyclic Acid today... not allowed in pregnancy. Savlon will have to be default spot treatment.

Thank you ladies. You really are fucking awesome. I'm feeling ok at the moment. But it changes by the hour. I think my tears have run out for the time being. DH struggling. I think I've known for some weeks deep down that things were not right. I think it's made things easier now. I'm worrying about the silly things which is probably what's throwing me into moments of despair but I'm sure it will all work out and I'll just have to cope through it. I know it's normal.

I see the thyroid specialist Monday (if I'm not having the op that day) so I plan to get this sorted. My medication right now was probably too late to help baby but hopefully once this is under control I can come back here and be more active.

I'll try and actually behave this time. Lots of PMA and kwick for everyone. I can't promise that ROME CONCEPTION chanting won't make an appearance.

Kwick - nah its not AF, it just feels a bit like it. Like something is pinching me in the belly from time to time. Very, very strange but I'm assuming its just to do with the HSG. Thing is, can't really decide if its a good thing or a bad thing. Also, what is this Salcyclic Acid thing? I've never heard of it!

Pug - what made your friend decide to have two babies in such close...proximity (that's not the right word is it?) I wonder if she is coping okay. Does she know you're TTC?

murphy i discussed a similar bsby shower scenario with the girls pn here a few weeks ago & they helped me realise i need to look after myself mentally. I just explained that i couldnt go & im pleased i made the decision.

Not a good ttc month over here. I got a positive opk yesterday on cd 14 but dh fell asleep so no dtd & tonight he's out having a drink so unlikely tonight too. Managed to dtd on cd 13 so day before +ve opk & going to have to hope thats enough.

Mouse you are so strong even in this time of heartbreak. You are an inspiration and I am sure that you are going to come through this. Take care of yourself and hope you and DH can support each other through this dreadful time

Alexia and kathrino I haven't been OPKing or temping so I have no idea about ovulation..if I was having another 36day cycle I should be about 5dpo but that's a guess. As much as I hope it's IB I think it's more likely just another body f* up! Although did start my new job this week and wouldn't be eligible for maternity pay if I conceived this month so there is potential for Sod's law...

Ej fx for you- some people have got their BFPs after non-ideal DTD timing..PMA prescribed x

Fx for all testers! I'm feeling a bit more crampy this evening so expecting AF tomorrow. Mantra; I will be fine either way. I will be fine either way.

Skipper* - I've been getting that weird pinching feeling as well. Just keep telling myself it could be something, it could be nothing.

For some reason, I'm just not that optimistic about this month.

Went to the work drinks tonight and managed to get away with drinking non-alcoholic beer (actually not bad tasting!). It was so weird defining it and not even getting a buzz! Everyone got very loud and I was secretly stone cold sober ha ha. The hardest bit was actually leaving, like they were offended I was going home and were genuinely shocked that I was as I never go home early. Was impossible to sneak off as we were all sitting around a table, but I just really really wanted to head home!
