Thread 25. TTC #1 - February Fertility Fighters on the FRONTLINE

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

We delayed a year due to friends announcing they were getting married abroad and I'd be bridesmaid. So wish we hadn't wasted that year

CD 8 today and I'm going no OPKs, no temping, just regular dtding and taking my pre-conception vitamins. I can't cope with the stress of knowing absolutely everything about what my body is doing/should be doing/isn't doing.

I am not blonde sadly and must have missed you by only a minute or two. I did have a look as I came out but didn't spot anyone I thought might by you.

Scan was unpleasant but fine, thank you so much for all the good wishes. I did cry, vomit, run away or have a panic attack which is all good. I know it was nothing major in the grand scheme of things but it is quite triggering for me. The worst part was actually the blood test which took several people a number of attempts. Done now though and going to work via Oxford Street for some retail therapy.

Jam, if you need a few more days to recover before DTD, you should definitely take it. There's absolutely no point forcing yourself if you're not feeling it

flash that's been my approach this month. Although my boobs are a fair indication of Ov so despite trying not to think about it I know I'm somewhere in TTW.

How do people cope with the two week wait?! It's horrible! I said i wouldn't over-think things and am doing the exact opposite.

So far I have the same symptoms as I had with my BFP but I am wondering if they are just generic post ovulation symptoms.

Nipple pain, thick white clumpy CM, hot flashes and nausea (convinced that nausea is the vitamins I take though, must change them really!) and weird dreams, if I can sleep as I have had some unusual insomnia too.

Aghhhhh this waiting sucks!!

Aaaand now I've started spotting!!

It's my colleague's first day back from paternity leave today and just had to sit through about 8000 pictures of his newborn. Good-oh.

I'm actually thinking about ditching the OPKs and temping this cycle - I know exactly when FW is so could aim to dtd every 3 days in run up to FW, every other day in FW, then back to every 3 days after. Something tells me that focusing all our effort on the forced dtd-athons around high fertility/+ve OPK time just isn't going to do it for us. And I just really fucking hate it (sorry, I'm swearing a lot today). But, I'm also a control freak and want to make the most out of these cycles. Oh I don't know...

Am at work today mac, but going for a quick 🍷 after work then cinema with DH (don't want to drink too much as want to avoid getting drunk and emotional and wake up with the shame tomorrow that I've told everyone I work with that my uterus is a useless shit bag). Boozy Valentine's Day dinner with DH this weekend and gin festival with friends next weekend 😊

88claire pre-AF and pre-BFP symptoms are pretty much identical as it is the same hormone (progesterone?)

dpo 9 (or 8) and I am completely symptomless.

Don't think I will test until I am significantly late bluebell, missed FW, although no idea if / when I ovulated either, just to add to the fun!!

Sounds like a plan pyjamas may help to have a more relaxed approach.

kathrino there was only blondie and a lady with a kids scooter so did not think it could be you. Jenna spent ages looking for a lost patient and Susan - who is the phlebotomist- was also looking and actually as she saw I was a mess got my scan prioritised.

Not good news I am afraid - I have miscarried again. Probably again due to a chromosomal issue. Devastated. Not sure what to do next. Am sitting in an Eat - cannot go home yet as cleaner will be there soon. Unlike others I am not sure I will abandon the thread - I find it so comforting. I may just read the parking ones for a while.
