Usually only have a 9 or 10 day LP and have been spotting since 7dpo so wasn't remotely optimistic but when AF didn't arrive I decided to test. It was done with FMU and is a massive shock!!!

Oh I know what you mean Pyjamas, I hate BFNs. When I conceived DS I didn't test until 15dpo because AF was late at 14dpo. But seen as my LP has been so short and the spotting stopped I was suspicious this time!

Been peeking at this thread for a couple of days so thought I would comment. Congrats to you all with BFPs

Malbec and Silver you have made me feel a lot happier than I have been over the last couple of days. First cycle of ttc1 and I had a short lp of 9/10 days.

Accepted the AF - we would have been super lucky to conceive first time - but the short lp got me panicked. We'll see what next month brings but knowing it's possible to get a BFP with a short lp puts my mind at ease a bit, so thank you

Good luck Bows! Have you tried vitamin b6? It didn't work for me but I know it has some really good success rates for extending LP.

I have to be honest and say that this is actually my first month on clomid, but I started spotting at 7dpo as I would do normally so I can't be sure that clomid actually made any difference to my LP! But I did obviously get pregnant, where as the previous 7 months all ended up with AF by 10dpo absolute latest.

I haven't tried anything yet Malbec. I think I'm going to see what happens this cycle (and possibly the one after - fx I don't need to!) before I think about ways to extend lp.
I'm hoping that my cycles are just getting back into the swing of things after 15 years on the pill.
This is my 4th pill-free AF and cycle length has been a bit chaotic (42, 41, 31 days). I just wish I could remember what my cycles were like when I was 16!

Ah yeah, if you're newly off the pill then I'd give yourself a bit of time to settle down. I'd been on for about 10 years when we started TTC DS and my first cycle was about 56 days, then I had a 28 day cycle where I spotted all month, then another 56ish day cycle, then I started on conception vitamins and I had a 34 day cycle and then conceived the cycle after.

It's crazy how much it messes with your body!
Well, here's hoping I follow in your footsteps and conceive after 4 pill-free months!
This is only my second cycle ttc so I'm trying not to get stressy about it. So much easier said than done though

I have my scan on Monday! I am terrified but excited! However my partner stupidly double booked himself so don't think he's able to come to the scan :( all my symptoms have disappeared and I'm not feeling pregnant at all, this is the only thing that worries me, although I haven't had any blood loss so hoping it's a good sign. I will be roughly 6+5 at the scan, so not sure how much will be visible.

It's still quite early days for definite symptoms. I'll keep everything crossed and please come back to the clomid thread and update us! Hopefully they'll be able to see a heartbeat, my clinic says after 7 weeks to be sure but 6+5 is very close isn't it!xx

Thanks Mmm. I felt sick 24/7 for the first week and half and on Wednesday i felt so much better and the feeling hasn't come back, still tender breasts and a few twinges here and there but nothing much. Hoping everything is okay and the sickness doesn't return lol. The hospital had booked me in for that date, fully aware of my dates so I am hoping there is a strong little heartbeat. I shall keep you updated after the scan :) xxx

Bows - no problem! I echo was Malbec says and that being your first cycle off the pill, it's bound to be a bit irregular.. When I was also panicking about my short LP, I did also read that it's normal to be shorter when you first come off the pill. If I recall correctly, I think mine was only about 7 or 8 for the first few post-pill cycles! It did take us 12 cycles to conceive and for the majority of those my LP was 9/10, I think a couple were 11 and then the cycle before I conceived it was 13. I did start taking an arsenal of supplements about six months in so don't know whether that helped at all.. I will have try and remember what those were and let you know! My cycle was also completely irratic for those 12 months.. No month was the same! It ranged from 23-31 days (and I also had one 37 dayer thrown in for good measure but that was probably anovulatory!). Good luck
